I have a good feeling. I think the boys are back and Javy is gonna have himself a game tomorrow. That McGowan is ****ed, too.

The White Sox win this one.

They'll win it, but I'm betting it's in spite of Javy, not due to him.

Another 5IP, 5ER, 2BB, 6K performance seems in order. Prove me wrong Javy, do it.

Where have we heard this (http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/cs-060804soxbrite,1,6819520.story) before?

If there really is a short leash, Ozzie will
have the pen up and warming as the fourth inning ends
give Javy five innings and one baserunner to get it doneIf Javy is allowed to put two runners on in the sixth, I call bull****.

They've been reporting that Coop's been working with him - but, while Coop is great, I'm resisting this idea that he's our "miracle worker". I don't know why this outing would necessarily be any different than the last umpteen outings by Javy.

Based on his career norm of being up and down, he's due to have a string of good starts after being down for so long. But, I'm going to guess that he has at least one more bad start ahead of him before he gets his **** together.

Chris Rongey has taken to calling it "The Vasquez Inning". Maybe Garland can give him tips on giving up a run or two and not totally falling apart.

Not to be a flamer...but here is what i see from Javy

Javy will take a NO HITTER into the 6th inning...Sox leading 3-0....

Sox will lose 11-3 as Jays score 11 runs in 6 ... 10 being charged to Javy.

OK...lets see if "reverse" psychology has any power in this world.

No, but its like the sun setting in the West...It just kinda happens, everyday...we can't stop it and no one is surprised.

He has the "good" matchup tomorrow and once again he follows a Sox victory. He hasn't followed up a Garland win with a WIN of his own since...hell, I don't know when.

We beat Halladay, a huge win for our squad...The momentum that this pitcher can give us with a solid outing tomorrow would be amazing, but he's failed with such brilliant consistency I expect nothing less tomorrow.

Im hoping, but aint betting the farm either.

He's gotta win sooner or later. That is what I'm saying. My Javy line is 6.1 IP 3 ER 5 K 2 BB. I think the runs will be scored on a 3 run hanging curveball bomb by Vernon Wells in the 3rd inning. I think he survives the 6th but gives up 2 hits in a row in the 7th to make Ozzie go to the pen. He gets the win though as we win 9-3.

How about he pitches 5 then Ozzie takes him out? Unless he has a no-hitter going, you pull him after 5 no matter what. He mealts down quickly.

Just don't tell him that. His fifth could quicky become his new "sixth"...Thus is the nature of the headcase...

You might be onto something here. Garland struggled in these situations too. Advice from teammate to teammate can be instructive and supportive.

hopefully with Thome and Konerko back in the lineup we'll have about 6 or 7 runs on the board by the sixth. This way the obligatory three runs given up in the 6th by vazquez won't kill us.

Is there wagering going on here? Otherwise, why do we speculate on these things? Tomorrow is tomorrow, and we shall know soon enough.

Meanwhile, I'm offering 8-5* that Pat Buchanan will show up on "The McLaughlin Group".

* Not really.

I'm preparing for the worst, but he is a major league pitcher and he might surprise me. Meanwhile, the offense should come to the ballpark ready to score runs.

Thus is the nature of the headcase...

Truth spoken here. Plus the man won't listen to reason. He was in the paper a while back and couldn't see where he had a problem. He got kind of indignant about all the fuss.

This just might be the textbook definition of headcase.

I hope he gets it together, but at the first sign of trouble, yank him. And fast.

depends on how many runs Javy gives up during his "big inning" if its 4 or more i wouldn't expect us to win the game.

Lets hope for the best though

For some reason I'm feeling borderline confident in Javy, but that could be just because the Sox have a little streak going, winning 5 of the last 7. After that slump, even these small streaks tend to create euphoric, optimistic feelings. Let's hope Javy has a good one tonight, he's due.

The Washington Generals.

That said, I don't care if Vazquez has a perfect game on 15 pitches at the end of 5 innings, pull his ass out before the bottom of the 6th begins.

...That's another thing I'm worried about. Aren't we facing a guy who is making his first start? If I'm not mistaken, he's either been in AAA or the bullpen until now. The Sox sometimes have an uncanny ability to make these kind of guys look like the 2nd coming of Cy Young.

Because Konerko is a slow as a hearse.

I think the same guy made one with Podsednik on a Camaro or something, and had a hummer with "Thomas 35 on it" crushing a white Beetle with a Twins logo on it.

Yeah I've been offline for a while so I haven't had time to update things, however the Thomas sig has been trashed. I was going to keep it, but once he filed that lawsuit I decided to trash it.

I released him at the all-star break, so I don't feel as badly. Someone actually picked him up then and stuck with him for the five or six awful starts he put up since then. So, whatev.

Yea Javy! What a masterful performance today. I hope this: a) clears your head, b) gives you confidence you've been lacking, c) shuts up all the Javy naysayers (myself included), d) starts a winning streak ala Contreras, e) build chemistry and friendly competition within the staff

Take off Javy, we're with you.
