Is anybody thinking like I am,,starting Fri.. we play 24 straight games in roughest part of schedule.. Tonite we used almost whole bullpen in 90 deg. heat,, also if Paulie is out and Thome not 100% we got to have our bullpen in good shape.. I would like to see Freddie throw a good one tomorrow,, rest bullpen Thurs.. and be in pretty good shapefor Toronto..I know we couldnt leave Mark in much longer in this heat,, I just hope Ozzie can work his magic ,,

A complete game is probably a stretch for him at this point. But if he can control his pitch count early (just pitch well when he gets ahead) I could see him going 7 strong.

You are right - we need another quality start.

Here's hoping for a quality start and going 7 for FG. His last couple of starts were great, I think the staff is coming around, especially after MB's performance tonight.

I hope you're right about the staff "coming around." We'll have a better idea after the series in Toronto. The Royals' line-up isn't the best measuring stick.

I look forward to some truly epic sweating from Freddie out there on the mound today. That guy's like a human heat pump, he's soaked in the Metrodome.

The key is to have pinpoint accuracy. Strikeouts don't translate into deep outings because of the higher pitch counts. Inducing ground balls and letting hte defense help you is the key to a deep outing.

Yeah and he even has a fan blowing on him in the Metrodome.

Will he be singing We Will Rock You and We are the Champions while he's pitching tonight?

It would be nice if Garcia goes 8 or 9 of course, but with the off-day tomorrow, it's not absolutely crucial.

Does he sweat more than Jenks? Jenks is soaked after ONE PITCH. Imagine Jenks after 7 innings :D:. So thank goodness Jenks doesn't start!

How about we capatalize on all of our scoring opportunities and jump out to a 7-1 lead after 6 innings so that our staff can relax for a change.
