Lugo should help them out a lot. People don't seem to understand how good he is.

He was highly coveted by Toronto. Oh well more gnashing of the teeth up here! :D:

Perfect timing for TB's upcoming series against the Tiggers.

Huh, this is weird. So Lugo plays 2B? Does that mean they don't believe Kent will be back?

Mine was ahead of his, so therefore I posted it first.:)

Wow, okay. Well, he's not going to a team we need to play, so more power to him. Where does he play though? 2B? And what about when Kent and Nomar come back?

Nomars the first baseman, and Kents getting old and washed up.

Is Bill Mueller done for the season?

I'd have to assume so, but damn they have a lot of IF depth.

Nomar and Kent on the DL now, but if/when they come back, add to that Betemit, Furcal, Lugo and Saenz. That's a lot of IF's.

I know Nomar plays 1B, but assuming Kent comes back, where does Lugo go then? Every position in the infield is basically taken, unless you move Kent to 1B, Nomar to 3B and put Lugo at 2B.

Or maybe just Lugo to 3B...

You should change the thread title:
The Dodgers traded away Joel Guzman and Sergio Pedroza.

Rotoworld.com:
According to ESPN, Julio Lugo has been traded to the Dodgers for Joel Guzman and Sergio Pedroza.
Now this one is a surprise. Lugo said he didn't want to be moved off shortstop, but that seems certain to happen in Los Angeles. He can play second in place of Jeff Kent for now and then maybe move to third base once Kent returns. Especially after already getting Wilson Betemit, this is a very heavy price for the Dodgers to pay. Guzman remains an excellent long-term prospect, and Pedroza has a chance to become a regular corner outfield.

Uh... I don't get Ned Coletti. Even Depodesta wasn't this stupid. How many 3B do the Dodgers need?
