i don't buy k-dub's statement from last week that he's not trying to make a deal.

first of all, do you think a deal will go down? and IF, hypothetically, a deal does go down, who do you think it'll involve?

the clock is ticking...

Kenny can't control himself--he'll do something even if it's small.

maybe a small deal after today that may or may not pass waivers... nothing huge.

Though that's what I said last week about all of the MLB, damn yankees.

Kenny will trade the moon for Jupiter and then sculpt the solar system as he sees fit.

I would take my chances with this team against any other team right now. Like I said in other threads, the Sox players and pitchers need to shake off the 2005 hangover and start grinding it out. They're better than this and really, there is nowhere to go but UP.

So my answer is NO DEAL.

No major deal. That's the curse of having a good team - it's a lot harder to improve. There just aren't many better players out there.

The Sox don't need different players. They need the players they have to play up to their capabilities.

And now it's 3:01, so we have to go with what we got.

Let's get it on.

He may be talking about the waiver deadline at the end of August. Either way, it's time for the guys on the team now to get it together and play better ****ing baseball. Two sketchy wins out of three games against a crap O's team doesn't meet the standard set for this team.

There are trades that need the commishes approval so as long as a tentitive agreement is in place, trades can still be announced. (Looks like Maddux is going to the Dodgers but there is cash involved so Bud needs to sign off on it)

Fine by me.

Time to get it done. This team has more than enough talent to win.

Somewhere in Kansas City, Ross Gload breathes out a muffled sigh of relief.

Me, three. Frankly, some of the last-minute deals have me scratching my head. Like Texas getting Kip Wells and Matt Stairs??
