Yeah, but it wasn't at all pitching related. He was injured in a car accident. Tough break (no pun intended)...

True, but my point is it would've sucked to have traded Javy or Freddy for him and wound up with nothing.
(Although some would say that is what we're getting from those 2 guys...)

If we'd have traded for him a week ago, then Sanchez doesn't get in that car accident and we have a perfectly healthy setup man.

Didn't Tom Glavine miss a start a few years ago because his cab got in an accident and he chipped a tooth or something?

Maybe the Mets should just take public transportation or drive themselves.
