Does anyone know about the Dominican Summer League White Sox? How exactly are their players affiliated with the White Sox minor league system, and are they considered Rookie Ball level or higher?

The DSL is considered below rookie ball. Most if not all the players on the team are signed by the White Sox. Very rarely in that league a player will be on loan from another organization, but as the Sox send all their players from the Dominican and Venezuela (and Brazil) onto their DSL team, it would be rareindeed for them to give someone else a spot.

DSL is so hard to say anything about. For instance, a couple of guys Miguel Luna and Miguel Rosario both have pretty good stats in a small number of at bats, but are either of them prospects? Hard to say. A lot of non-prospect, slightly older roster fillers end up on these teams. They are players who are good enough to keep around, but not good enough to earn a visa.

I pray we've got about three break-out stars on this team because the Sox system is as thin as I have seen it in maybe a decade. :(:
