Do we have any interest in Meche? Besides his last outing giving up 7 runs he has only given up more than 3 runs once in his previous 9 starts. Also it would allow us to try to move Javy for Flash .

We don't need Tom Gordon now.

Our bullpen is fine. The only thing we can is look for ways to improve the starting pitching...putting McCarthy into the rotation and trying to help Buehrle and Garcia pitch better than they have been.

We can't trade McCarthy....we have to decide how much of the future we can afford to sacrifice for this year in terms of trading Fields, Sweeney and Broadway. Are two of those guys worth a Gil Meche?

If our pitching doesn't straighten out soon, one Gil Meche is not going to make enough of a difference to be worth acquiring.

No, no, no, and no. Gil Mess would make Vaz look like Cy Young.

Bullpen help is no longer needed.

They need offense at the top and bottom of the order.

No to Meche. His era on the road is 4.84. Not exactly a bright idea to put him at the cell when he has been at safeco.

Plus, the Mariners appear to be in the buying mood.

KW was interested in Meche quite a bit in 2004 though.
