I'd love to have a catcher that plays well and will make any batter think twice about charging the mound. Or just watch him beat his ass before he gets to the mound.

Does anyone remember the minor league batter who made sure to kick the catcher out before he charged the mound?

Izzy Alcantrara (sp?) He was with the Red Sox minor league team at the time although I dont think he is anymore...that was a wicked kick to the throat he gave the guy.

Alcantara's an a$$hole...he should be banished from baseball for good. He could have seriously hurt the catcher kicking him like that with metal spikes on. But dont take my word for it...here you go:

P.S. - On a related side note, notice the pitcher who was also suspended for 3 games due to the brawl...its our old friend Jesus Pena.
