Outfielder Julio Ramirez, who opened last season with the Sox, also is having visa problems in the Dominican Republic. He isn't expected to be in Tucson before Thursday, the first day the entire team is expected to be in camp. No timetable was set for the arrival of the three players.

Hey things are looking good!

Manuel said he will give some starts to reliever Bob Howry this spring, but that his spot is expected to remain in the bullpen.

I'll start it off, and say he works 4 innings and allows 5 runs with 3 walks.

I think you are being overly kind to a one pitch pitcher.

Try 10 runs.

I don't think Manuel will leave him out there that long. Seven runs I could see, but not ten.

He had one bad season, for cipes sake! Prior to last year, he was, although not great, above average and a good guy to have in the pen. Howry is a useful pitcher; it he is healthy and his velocity is back, he will help the team.

I agree on this one...I honestly believe Howry will have a good year in 2002...though for a good deal(and no more Royce)..he can call LA his home forever

Well if Royce is coming with him than they can stay in Burbank. The Choice is like a GOD out here

I agree with you on that point. It takes a full year to come back from surgery. Most of the time a pitcher is much better the second season after surgery.

He still sucks.
