Yeah, the loss sucks, but Anderson seems to be the only hitter on the team with a halfway decent approach at the plate. So let's give Mackowiak more starts in CF.

All you have to do is look at the box score to see how bad things are going

Pods, Gooch, Thome, and PK
4-16 with 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI, and 7 LOB

Uribe and Anderson
4-8 with 1 2B, 2 HRs, 3 RBIs, and 0 LOB

BA is quickly becoming the king of meaningless homers, right on!

that is what will kill me with ozzie. why mackowiak in center 3 times/week is beyond me.

Meaningless? Ninth inning with a runner on base? It's not his fault he came up without a chance to tie it up with a five-run homer. It's not his fault there aren't four bases to fill when he comes up to bat.

He also hit a two-out, two-strike, ninth inning, game-tying homer in Seattle. Two of his six homers this year have come in very clutch situations.

Anderson's beautifully-exectued bunt would have gone for a single had it not rolled foul at the last second. I blame that one on Roger Bossard.

This guy is as hot as I've ever seen him at the moment. Play him every single day, even if there's a tough righty on the mound. It's better to let him just get in a rhythm of playing every day.

Ozzie,

Stop frikkin' platooning Anderson in center and play him almost every day!
