Was watching the Cubs and Nats on MASN. The Nats' color man (none other than Tom "wimpy" Paciorek) offered up some stats on the Cubbies' aces over the last couple years, right after the messiah was chased giving up 4 runs in 3.1 innings. Figured this might be good for a laugh:

What kind of screen name do you have? Were all the good ones taken? Just curious.

I wonder how much per game they get to sit on the DL. Balsa makes about $75,000 per start and Prior about $50,000. They miss 10 games and you're talking about over a million. Would hate to get insurance at the place the Cubs have it, your rates would be skyrocketing from all the losses. You wouldn't think they'd be able to get contract insurance anymore.

At least Prior's injuries have mostly been flukes (getting run over trying to cover first, line drive off the leg). Wood just has bad mechanics.
