Pierzynski, Monroe Trade Barbs (http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/cs-060720sozajmonroe,1,4958126.story?coll=cs-home-headlines)

Supposedly AJ threw an elbow out there?
Meh.

Well that's a pretty ridiculous assertion. Anyone who watched the replay could clearly see that AJ was just standing there with his hands on his hips and Monroe bumped into him while celebrating.

Of course since it's AJ he's gonna get blamed for doing something "dirty", but it clearly wasn't the case.

Does anybody think that warnings will be issued before the Padilla game on Sunday??

Yes.

As for the AJ/Monroe thing, yawn.

AJ would beat down Craig Monroe.

Enough of this soap opera BS. We need wins.

Mercy!

"When I came back up, I asked him if the elbow was really necessary," Monroe said. "He understands the game. That was the biggest moment for the Detroit Tigers in a few years, and we were celebrating. I didn't understand the elbow."Gee, you know what I don't understand? The recent shoplifting charge against Mr. Monroe where he's accused of lifting a $29.95 belt. Was that "really necessary"?

im so tired of hearing everyone accusing AJ of "just being AJ". in most of the recent cases hes just being a normal baseball player.

Why not change your story? Despite the fact that the video shows AJ did absolutely nothing people will still blame him because of his rep, see Barrett collision. It's win-win for the belt stealer.

Why would there be a warning only for this game? As far as I know, Padilla won't be batting.

You're right, if the catcher he bumped into had been anyone other than AJ, he, along with everyone else, would have thought nothing of it. But because "AJ is in the middle of everything", he did it on purpose, and shot an elbow at him too.

It's a good thing Monroe just walked away becuase I heard AJ was ready to slice him. He keeps a 10" knife under his chest pad.

Maybe I was watching the wrong game. In the one I watched, AJ was as still as a statue.

Not only was he still, he seemed like you couldn't have moved him with a forklift. Monroe and Thames (right?) were dancing around and they backed into AJ, who emphatically did not move. Possibly AJ said something to them; he had his mask on and it wasn't visible on TV.

Don't care how big a moment this is for the Tigers; it's not a walkoff homerun in a playoff or WS game, so take it to the dugout and don't be showboating on the field.

No ****! Time to move on.

The last meaningful bump I saw was Pete Rose into Dave Pallone.

Perhaps because of this:
