Channel 7 news this morning just announced that the third base coach for the Flubbies, Chris Speier, got a DUI last night. Anyone else see this?

Chicago Cubs third base coach Chris Speier was arrested for drunken driving early Wednesday after being pulled over on his motorcycle on Chicago's Near North side, police said.
The incident occurred about 1:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Dearborn Street, according to police Officer Kelly Liakopoulos. Speier, 56, was northbound on a motorcycle when a police officer saw him run a stop sign and pulled him over.

He just wants to fit in.

He's an official dumbass now.

Kind of Ironic that he would miss a stop sign, he's been throwing them up all season at Thirdbase... I guess the players now have an excuse just too keep running through those, "Well Chris, you did it too!"

How come he wasn't among the group of 15 getting arrested for disorderly conduct after last nights game?

you can't ask for more of a train wreck. They should start playing Cubs news on Jerry Springer

I'll post the obligatory....
I'd be drinking and driving if I were coaching the Cubs too.

Even more obligatory: If that were Joey Cora, since he's employed by the Sox, they'd mention something about how unsafe the South Side is and how all Sox fans attack umpires. There might even be an interview with William Ligue.

Wow I missed this by minutes. I was at Dearborn and Division til just before then and also kinda know many of the officers in that area. Hopefully he learns from this.

Kind of wish they had gotten Furcal now, him and Speier would have something to talk about.

The news said he was driving a Harley. I pictured Speier as the Ninja driving, flip-flop wearing type of biker.

LOL! My girlfriend lives right on 1200 N. Dearborn, I wonder if she saw it.

After celebrating the rare win, he must have had a little too much Colt .45.

Shoot, if I was a Cub coach, this would happen much more often...

He was drinking to forget A.J.'s homer. Sometimes it takes a while to get over a shock like that.
That's an expensive boo-boo these days.

He allegedly tried to get out of it by telling the cops he was a Cubs coach. Twice.
