If your PTC doesn't actually play, you are still in the contest if your B/U does.

I thought it was whoever entered the game first. For example, if Gload has a pinch hit, walk-off grand slam and was my PTC, I wouldn't get the pick if I had Crede as my b/u and Crede started the game. If I had just picked Gload with no b/u, I would be golden.

Or am I off on this one?

Dude, you gotta be kidding me..........the pitching has been pathetic lately.....Garland goes out and throws a game like this and you give it to Paulie???

come on:angry:

No love for Jon here?

The pitching has sucked lately and he goes out and throws 7 innings only giving up 1 ER and what, 6 hits? And he still doesn't get the P2C? Not that I don't think Paulie had an awesome night - but Jon really should have gotten this.

Guess even the fans have fallen in love with the long ball.........

so if Garland threw a no hitter and Konerko has the same night....does Paulie still get it?:?:

If Garland would have thrown a no hitter he would have gotten it but he didn't throw a no hitter so why even bring it up. He went 7 gave up 6 hits a walk and a run scored.

OUTRAGE!!!!!!!!!!!:angry::angry::angry::angry:

Honorable mention to Joe Crede, who knocked in the 1st run and then some insurance too with the long ball

You're off. The backup is just that a BU in case your pick doesn't play.

Hmm, then that is in conflict with this:

http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=51937

That was the game last year where Rowand hit the 3 run homer in the 10th to beat the Padres. I had him as my PTC with Konerko as my backup. Konerko started the game so I didn't get the pick. Are the rules different this year?
