I need the brewers and whitesox in the world series

Also that game means nothin, especially with the brew crew being good just underachieving. Det gave up 9 on KC, doesnt mean det is bad

The guy has been on fire in his previous 6 starts, and went 0-1 because the Giants have no offense. As it was tonight, they only scored 1 run. If he were to demand a trade, I'd love to have him...

He has been winless in his past 7

It's not like the Brewers are a Bad offensive team(if you would bother to look up some stats, you would know that).

Schmidt probably wasn't as bad as Jeff Weaver who was shelled big time in his Cardinal debut.

I watched the game. He didn't have his best stuff but was pitching well for the first 5 innings. Then Schmidt blew up in the 6th and for some reason, despite it being obvious that he should be out of the game, Alou sent him back out there for the 7th.

I have no idea why so many Sox fans want this guy. how is Schmidt going to help the Sox pitching staff, getting Schmidt would be a big waste of time.

He is 0-4 in his last seven starts. His era in that stretch is a little over 4.0

I looked at his season, He has started 19 games and has averaged 112 pitches /start.

He is a workhorse but you have to wonder if he is wearing down with all those pitches(over 2100) by july 17.

I never said they were, however, if you'd bother to realize that they are currently under .500......

So......... what you are saying is that a pitcher can not have a bad night vs a good offensive team who just so happens to be a game under .500?

The Brewers aren't a bad team, just a young team. They will be in the mix in the next couple of years.

If you get Schmidt today, he starts at most 14 regular season games. If they only repeat their first half performances, Javy or Freddy would go 7-4 in those games, with 3 decided in the bullpen. Just how much better would Schmidt be able to do? The fact is, with our offense, a marginal major leaguer can go .500. So why pay such a stiff price for a trivial upgrade?

People, I never said the Brewers were a bad team. I just said that Jason Schmit had a bad outing against a team under .500. Thats all...

I guess i am missing the point to this thread then. Pitchers have bad days. His just happened to be against a team with a losing record. It's not like this is an unusual phenomenon.

So? The Jndjans aren't exactly lighting the world on fire, but they can still hit.

The Brewers problem is not scoring runs. It's starting pitching and middle relief (And now Turnbow too is becoming an issue)

But they're under .500. What's your point?

Why are you criticizing me? All I said was that Jason Schmit had a bad outing against a team thats currently under .500.

Once Again, just stating a fact. When did I ever say pitchers don't have bad days. The purpose of this thread is the factual recap from a bad outing an extremley hyped up pitcher had against a team under .500...thats all...
