Apparently, he's done it again. Phillies.com reports that Howard's latest blast traveled 450-feet at AT&T Park in San Francisco. More to come.

I can't wait until he's on the Sox in 2010!

Okay the guy has power but do we really need a thread everytime he hits a bomb? It's not like he is the only guy to ever hit a baseball 450 feet. When he starts jacking them 510+ feet we'll create a Ryan Howard forum.

450' < Titanic Blast.

After seeing this thread I was trying to track down the video of this Borchard home run. Does anyone know where to find it? I narrowed it down to the June series against the Phillies in 2004, but the Sox site doesn't even have that on it's top plays archive for some reason.

It was against the Phillies in 2004, but it was a make-up game of a rainout, so I think it was July or August when the game was played.

It was definetly towards the end of August.

Nothing Jim Thome hasn't done.People on this forum love to talk about the Dick Allen home run to straightaway center that supposedly was still rising when it hit the seats.
Well, Jim Thome's blast on Saturday sure looked like it was still rising when it hit the seats in the THIRD DECK of Yankee Stadium.
Whatever the estimated distance of that one was, it was probably WAY under the actual distance that ball would have traveled if it had been hit in an open field...
