I like Haegar and all but is he possibly trade bait for an experience back up outfielder, or a solid right hander out of the pen with some experience?

He had control problems in one start in bigs, if he gets control could be a Wakefield.

Yeah, you can't really judge him off of that one night. He just didn't have it, and if you're a knuckleballer and don't have it, you're toast.

Then again, I don't know if he'd ever get a shot in this rotation, so he may not be bad trade bait.

Furthermore, his problem when he came up here was that he was throwing the knuckler about 10 mph harder than normal. He stated adrenaline got the best of him. What he needs to do is get with Kerry Wood, learn the pitching motion, and suffer a shoulder injury. That should slow down his pitches a little.

Heres the rundown, brought to you by our friends @ ESPN.com

IL starter Charlie Haeger, a knuckleballer from Charlotte who has 10 wins this season, retired the first six batters on 15 pitches. Heath Phillips, also from Charlotte, pitched two innings in relief and picked up the win.

Charlotte's Jorge Velandia singled in the third inning and scored the first run on Ben Hendrickson's wild pitch.

Is it me or does heath phillips remind anyone of a young David Wells?

Good fastball, 12-6 curve ball....

We just now need to confirm whether or not he gets plowed the night before ballgames.

Not at all. Heath doesn't have anywhere near the control that Wells displays, nor does he have as good an arm.
