Hell, if you include players that have been pined for on this message board, then all of them have White Sox ties. :D:

:bandance:

You might say we singlehandedly defeated the Nat'l League. :redneck

Paulie is 4 for 5 in all star games. Batting .800. Not too shabby.

How about Chuck Tanner?

When Tanner was introduced, I immediately began thinking of the early '70s Sox teams.

Arguably, PK was the MVP of this game. If he doesn't get that 2-out hit in the 9th, the AL has no chance. Game over, NL wins.

Way to go, Paulie!! :bandance:

I thought Ozzie's decision to hit n run with Thome up and a guy on 1st was on the dumb side, well overly aggressive anyway. Thome deserved the chance to wait for his pitch and try to put one in the seats.

And he was the only AL star to have a multiple hit game, Paul-ee got robbed. He was the MVP.

Yeah, I think he had a chance to win the MVP in '02 if not for the tie.

When Tanner was introduced, I immediately began thinking of the early '70s Sox teams. The best managing in my lifetime was done by Chuck Tanner in 1972. If Melton doesn't get hurt they very well may have overtaken Oakland. I admired Al Lopez for getting the most out of the talent he had. Particularly from 1963-65. Tanner surpassed him in 72. After that, no luck at all for him or the organization. I'm glad he got his ring in 79 with the Pirates.

Ok well I was just giving Paulie props. Maybe I should have used teal but it gets old, ya know?

Way to go, PK. :D:

yeah I know. I just had to throw that out there because I am sure there are posters here who do think Paulie should have won the mvp award. It takes nothing away from his night, great showing by the captain helping us have homefield advantage AGAIN

Sorry, Paulie would only get 'honorable mention' in the all-star PTC IMO, as there's clearly someone else who deserves the "won the damn game" moniker

Yeah, I think he had a chance to win the MVP in '02 if not for the tie.I couldn't believe they didn't give out the MVP that year. Only because that's the year they dedicated the award and renamed it to the Ted Williams Award. Just because it ended in a tie why would you not give out an MVP? Never understood that given the circumstances of re-christening the award. Wait, it's MLB, so it made perfect sense.
