I'm going with David Ortiz over Troy Glaus in the final round.

In a surprise twist, Jim Thome will win the HR derby by hitting ALL of the HR balls on the fly, back INTO the ballpark by running around in the stands with a bat...

Glaus wins over Howard.

I don't think that either of the two guys that played 19 innings yesterday can do it, so I'll go with Ryan Howard.

The question is not who will win the derby. The question is, who finishes runner-up to Chuck Norris?

Miguel Cabrera

I hope Dye does good, though. Yes, I hate seeing him there, but obviously he wanted to participate or else he wouldn't be going. I'd actually love to see him win it, but after 19 innings yesterday, I don't see it happening.

Somehow ESPN has figured out how to continue their lovefest for the red sox and yankees into the derby. I really shouldnt be suprised should i?

I'm gonna go with Ryan Howard.

BTW, I just remembered how awful last year's HR Derby theme was. Hee Seop Choi was in the HR Derby! Ivan Rodriguez. Jason Bay. That's why the HR Derby isn't as big of a deal as it used to be.

Yeah, they had that awful idea of players representing their countries...LAME!

I'm glad thats over with. The problem is, they dont get the big home run hitters anymore to participate in the derby like they used to.

Agreed. I knew Jason Bay was a weak home run hitter. Why can't the Canadians generate more power in their bats? They could've gotten someone better otherwise.
