Trot Nixon went 0 for 9 today with four strikeouts. Who was the last player to go 0-for-9 (or worse) in a single game? I can't recall the last player to have such a day.

Also: I know a guy who strikes out three times in a game gets the "silver chalice" and four K's earns you the "golden sombrero". What do you get if you whiff five or more times in a game (besides sent to the minors :D: )

I believe when you strikeout 5 times you receive a golden shower.

Record for most strikeouts in a game is 5, the most in a doubleheader is 7, the most in an extra inning game is 6

Rafael Palmeiro in 1991 was the last person to go 0 for 9. I found it out on Sportscenter tonight believe it or not.

After he struck out the 4th time, the scorboard put the "Golden Sombrero" logo up. I thought it was kinda funny, rubbing salt in the ol' wound.
