Way to go Jon Garland, that's about four pretty solid outings in a row for Big Jon & all of a sudden eight & three looks pretty daggumm good. Had to listen on the score since I can't get wciu over here in Hoosierdom, getting tired of that problem.

It seemed he was using the strike zone effectively & coming inside more, he's tuff when he has the gutsm to pound 'em inside.

way to go Jon you're lookin' like a stud again.

In his last 5 starts, he is 4-0 with a 3.13 era.... he seems to have found his mojo again...

My buddy and I were having an interesting debate last night, which is more unbelievable to you?

Jose Contreras (the same Jose that many of us would cringe at when we saw it was his turn in the rotation) being 9-0 and carrying a 17-game winning streak....OR...Jon Garland being 8-3 heading into the AS break?

Garland and Garcia being 8-3 and 10-4 respectively is kind of odd if you're looking at their ERAs.

But the Sox also lead the AL in 13-run games, so it balances out.

Yes Jon has been better as of late but I wouldnt consider the start he had vs. Houston 2 starts ago anywhere near good.
