The theme music to Comcast's Sox broadcasts (the "Swing Batta Batta, Swing Batta Batta" song) is lame. Nothing says White Sox baseball like the satisfying PING of an aluminum bat.

If you could pick the theme music for Sox broadcasts, which song would you go with?

NBA on NBC!

Something like the '85 Bears' "Super Bowl Shuffle", where a bunch of the players rap about their skills and pretend to play instruments.

Perhaps the "World Series Waddle"? Gooch playing a keytar and Jenks on the drum kit would kill.

I can't stand that generic "rock" background music they play during their commercials and the intros. I prefer to listen to Cheap Trick.

The best TV music is Lou Reed of Velvet Underground. The song "Sister Ray" would be sweet.

Your repeated mentioning of CT is frightening. I hereby sentence to you one straight year of Led Zeppelin I to cleanse your pallet.

Comcast uses the same crappy intro for the Orioles on our Comcast Sports Net here in Virginia.

Fun House

callin' from the fun house with my song.
we been separated baby far too long.
callin' all you whoop-de pretty things.
shinin' in your freedom come and be my rings.
hold me tight -- callin' from the fun house.
hold me tight -- callin' from the fun house.
yeah, i came to play and i mean to play around.
yeah, i came to play and i mean to play real good.
yeah, i came to play.
little baby girlie, little baby boy.
cover me with lovin' in a bundle o' joy.
do i care to show you what i'm dreamin' of.
do i dare to whoop ya with my love.
every little baby knows just what i mean livin' in division in a shiftin' scene.
hold me tight -- callin' from the fun house.
hold me tight -- callin' from the fun house.
yeah, i came to play.
i came to play.
we been separated.
we been separated.
a little too long.
yeah, i came to play.
yeah, fun house boy will steal your heart away.
yeah, fun house boy will steal your heart away.
steal.
i came to play.
i came to play.
i came to play... baby.
yeah, i came to play.

That long guitar solo on the song "Rock n Roll" rules on the live album. That would be great when they show the scores from around the league in the 7th inning:bandance:

How about some INNA GODDA DA VIDA, by Iron Butterfly....in its entirity....to a montage of Home Runs and Strike outs of the opposition.

Yes, the intro would take about 12 minutes, but worth it. You could make a triple decker Dagwood in that time, grab two "pops" and be back in time for the first pitch and the picks to click.

How about a few bars from the "Gift" when another team makes an error?
And Lou Reeds "Dirty Boulevard" will be great when we meet the Mets in the WS or the Yankmees come to town.

Evertime I hear the song on comcast, I think of Jim Carey's character Lloyd, from Dumb and Dumber, doing that goofy dance he did in the movie.

Same exact thing here, BTW amazing movie, in my top 5 list.

And Pirates has to be the music, it's a perfect instrumental that gets you pumped for a game.

LOL! I never paid attention to that aluminum bat "ping" before. I laughed when I heard it yesterday.

I totally agree that the "swing batta batta" song is LAME. I would like to see that Pirates of the Caribbean song they use at the ballpark.
