No postgame thread?

The Sox win 13-nil and no one wants to talk about it?

A question - I noticed Joe Crede left the game, replaced by Mackowiak. Is Crede OK, or did Ozzie just want to get Mackowiak some innings at third?

But I don't know the condition of Joe Crede so who knows. :P

Crede got hit the forearm. X-rays negative, but he may be out a couple days.

Guillen said after the game that the x-rays showed up negative. He's going to have two lineups tomorrow in case Crede can play, but he's not counting on it. He got hit pretty hard there. :(:

Farmer was saying that Crede has a bruised forearm.

Somebody call KW and tell him to trade for Jay Payton, this guy is a Tiger killer! He just hit a run scoring single in the bottom of the 10th, A's win 2-1!

What a great day!!!! Great job all around. Think they were a

little ticked about the performance from the previous game?

Nice 4th of July present.

Jose looked really sharp today. Offense was terrific. Good going White Sox!

I think Brian Anderson is starting to snap out of it. He's been looking better at the plate, and seems to be getting more comfortable facing big league pitching.

Good win today, let's catch those Tigers by the Break.

BA said after the game that yesterday was just embarassing. Good to know they feel that way about those types of games and are capable of turning things around in a major way.

How about those A's...:bandance:

Very nice rebound after yesterday's desultory effort. So far the day is shaping up nicely...if the Royals could somehow not blow a friggin' game to the Twins again that would be the capper.

A great way to spend my birthday at the ball park watching the SOX win. We had a blast.

I was happy to hear that the Sox won. I went by my brother's house for the holiday and we couldn't find the game on TV (I think it was on Comcast and that's the one channel he doesn't get, of course)...

and gaining on the Tigers is always a good thing too.

Well, the bad news from the game: no free coffee. The 4th was one of two innings where the offense completely fell on its face.

Since I was at the game and just now got to a computer, I wasn't able to make one of the initial posts on this thread. If I had, I would have lamented about the no free coffee (even though I don't touch the stuff) and would have pointed out that:
1. The pitching showed up nicely.
2. The defense showed up nicely.
3. The offense made a minor appearance.

I guess someone was pissed off after Monday night.

BTW, one of the callers on the postgame asked if the HBP on Crede was intentional since Ozuna is on the DL and Iguchi is day-to-day and here was a chance to thin out the infield ranks.

"It was great. It was the old Jose Contreras."
Hearing that from AJ makes me feel VERY happy after today's win. More so than the big bats.
I take back everything I've been thinking about Jose after his last couple of starts.

The Sox win 13-nil and no one wants to talk about it?Thirteen freaking NIL? You've been watching too much ESPN, where everyone thinks they're oh, so sophisticated to refer to soccer scores with the "nil." It makes me gag.

For the benefit of those inundated with pseudo-soccer-sophistication from ESPN, yesterday's Sox score is read 13 to nuthin' or thirteen-zip. Looks like we're gonna hafta open the baseball re-education camps for those with deadly soccer infestation. I'm waiting for the first person from the USA who calls soccer "football."

Besides the Sox win, not only did just Detroit, Minnesota, and New York lose but also Boston and the Cubs. Rare but very great day indeed.

Geez, somebody's sensitive.

I was trying to be funny, NFox. (Yes, I deliberately did that since I know it is another one of your pet peeves.)

For the record, I don't speak that way.

I don't like soccer.

I haven't watched the World Cup.

I don't have ESPN.
