A-rod for A-ram. Either the cubs fan base is dumber than i thought for believing it or the yankees management is dumber than i thought for considering it. Although it would be fun to see the cubs take that hefty salary and still tank.

Has someone been spending too much time at mlbtraderumors.com?

It's from NSBB.com, and it started from a cubbie blog.

The so-called "smarter" Cub fans who post over there think he could be acquired with cash with packages involving, Maddux, Prior, A-Ram, Balsa Wood, and/or Jacque Jones.

A Ram for A rod?

I suggest C Pol for M Riv; maybe throw in a D Herm and R Glo to ice the deal.

If Cashman trades A-rod for ALL the people mentioned, AND gets cash, it's still an even stupider trade than Contreras for Loaiza

My guess is that if there is any validity to that rumor, one major piece was omitted by the reporter - C Zam and A Ram for A Rod. Now you might get a discussion going, but the Cubs would still have to throw in some more pitchers pitchers (like Rich Hill, a guy I'd like us to get after the Cubs threw him under the bus).

I remember laughing at 10 mill a year for the cologne man; I'm still laughing...it's absurd.
