Does anyone know who's starting at first tomorrow? Is it Thome or Konerko?

Dunno, but I'd guess PK. He's lights out against Zambozo.

I can't imagine Konerko not starting 2 games in a row.

Didn't Konerko have 2 blasts in the last game against zambrano? I think his numbers are pretty good against the jerk but I'm not sure.

Either way, we know that there is a pinch-HR waiting on the bench if the team needs it.

Koneroko. Give thome all the rest you can. We'll probably play our B team tomorrow, so maybe neither.

You know, a sensitive manager would give Ross Gload a start in appreciation for his infield hit.

Thank goodness Ozzie isn't sensitive.

Playing First Base is hard on Thome's bad back. This is why he won't do the Home Run Derby.

PK will play today and if we need Thome to pinch hit late in the game, Ozzie will call on him.

I agree with everyone here. No way PK doesn't start two days in a row. Thome will get his at-bats starting tomorrow now that AAA ball is over and probably a pinch-hit appearance today. Unless Buehrle goes the distance!

BTW, I thought Ozzie handled the double-switches yesterday like an absolute pro. So much for AL managers being too dumb to figure out that stuff.

I know what you're getting at here, but the way its written makes it sound like Thome would be shagging balls at first base during the derby.

My bad. The Home Run derby is also hard on his back. His back prevents him from doing too many stints in the field.
