Shouldn't be too bad. I went in 2004, the Monday after the first Sox/Cubs series. They were up on a stage, and there was a line of people, but it moved fairly fast. Joey Cora, Minnie Minoso and Bill Melton were there on that day. I brought an official baseball for them to sign. I just want to say that Bill Melton is one of the coolest guys you'll meet. When I got up on stage, I motioned to him if it would be o.k if we took a picture together, him, me and my infant son. He practically jumped out of his seat and came over to us, and we got a great photo of the 3 of us, that I have sitting on my entertainment center.

I'm sure Jenks will be there. I'm not basing this off of any real source. I just reason that where ever one finds food, Jenks is likely near.

Jenks and the Coop will be walking hand and hand to the food. They need to bring McCarthy with them cause he is too skinny

It's one of he main reasons we got him - when he turns sideways on, he's Invisible!

Makes it harder for a battter to work out what's coming...

I'm guessing so but probably really won't know for sure until you get there. What where you thinking about bringing?

We've started calling McCarthy "Abe" (as in Lincoln) - he's sooo skinny! :D:

Reminds me when as a kid they'd have White Sox Night at the 'Free Fair' in the area of 47th Damen. It was a huge affair with rides, games, food just a great way to spend an evening.

I'd always badger my folks to go on White Sox night but naturally I'd never get the chance to meet Billy Pierce, Nellie Fox, Luis Aparicio and later Hoyt Wilhelm and Gary Peters for example because literally thousands of folks would be there that night!

The line for this event was about a mile long before 11:30 a.m. Great turnout by Sox fans today at the Taste, both young and old.

I made it just before the cut-off, and I got there at 10:15.

The turnout was amazing. At one point the line had to be around 1,000 people long. These guys are now rock stars much like the Bulls were in their heyday.

I got down there about 10:45 and didn't even bother trying to get their autographs. I knew it was a lost cause when I saw the line.

I got there a little after 10:00 and missed out too. I'm mad, but it was nice to see that many Sox fans turn out. Did get Kittle and Melton, but was really there for Pierzynski and Crede. The security guy at the front of the line said there were people in line before 7:00 am.

Yup I had the same experience. At least I got a Kittle 8x10 and Melton 8x10. All they had was cheap pieces of paper up front. OH yeah I also got Jim McMahon for free tonight in Joliet! Go Bears!
