I'm going to friday's game and have not been to the "shrine" in over 10 years. I had a few questions.
I'm taking the southshore from east chicago and hoping to grab some breakfast downtown and hopping on the red line to get up to wrigleyville in time to drink for at least 2 to 3 hours.
Is 7:00 Am early enough to leave or too early.

Also does any place have beer under $5 a bottle or should I except a $100 day before I get in the park.

and finally any good breakfast spots downtown or in w-ville.

thanks if your going friday I'll be in 201 row 1

Weekday mornings the Southshore has trains leaving EC at 7:03, 7:14, 7:40 and 8:10. It's a 40-50 minute ride.

Hey Stacks - just make sure you don't pull a William Ligue on us, ummmkay?

Clark's on Belmost (one block east of Sheffield) has good breakfast. Lots of places in Lakeview sell beer for under $5, just avoid the spots immediately around the Urinal. Of course, not sure any of these spots will be open at 9 a.m.

Why are you eating before the game? Wrigley has the best food in MLB (freshly prepared in 1942) and you might blow chunks anyway while you're there. Also, an empty stomach reduces the chances of having to use the bathroom while there......

7ish should be fine. Best to eat before you go. Unless you are in the stadium club the food sucks. And even the stadium club food isnt all that good it is just free when i go.
