If you could pick one player that you didn't want to break camp with the club who would it be?

I'm going to say Josh Paul.

Harold Baines, although Paul would be a travesty as well.

I vote for Royce, cause he's the player that Jerry will play regularly and damage the '02 Sox the most

Royce Clayton. I echo ODE TO VEECK's statement.

Is there any other "Choice"?

"What do you think, Bonehead? Here's a clue - your tag name is "hitless". You think that means they like you?"

No, you're right, Veeck wouldn't have traded for Royce. He already would have traded the team away for Mark Grace and Shawon Dunston. He never met a broken-down ex-Cub he didn't like.

Royce is my Choice.

Honorable Mention:
Baines
Ramirez
Osuna

Hey beausox, do you have some kind of obsession with posts that invite Clayton bashing? It sure seems that way

Harold won't even be in the Sox camp so you are pretty safe there.

Just one? That's impossible - clayton, kohlmeier(alan embree pt 2). josh paul, and sandy alomar would head my list

The choice needs to go...... period

others i would like to see gone as well via trade are
ray, and pual.

i still would like to entertain offers for lee......... how is that for stirring the pot. :D:

I know nobody here likes Royce, but I think Julio Ramirez is the obvious choice here. The guy can't even hit minor league pitching. His presence in the the lineup in the begining of last season (along with Baines too) hurt the Sox just as much as Royce did. I still don't understand why he made the team last year.

o.k i agree royce was awful last year but let's keep in mind he had a good second half. i really look for royce to have a solid year with the bat and he's pretty reliable with the glove. crede needs one more year in AAA and valentin looked decent when he played at third last year. i think that's our best option. clayton actually may control this teams destiny in a weird way. can you imagine if he hits .280 or above? and having him at the bottom of the order and still have loften, ray, thomas, magglio, lee, konerko, valentin. man that woould be sweet.

trying to be optimistic, michael penny

maybe he can be the '83 version of julio cruz.
