This is so surreal to actually have our manager there.

Why Wedge?

Why Wedge?

c'mon b? Didn't you know that he was the greatest second place manager in baseball history, according to the Sporting News?

Kind of makes things weird with Wedge doesn't it? Aren't a lot of folks in Cleveland calling for his head now, and here's Ozzie picking him as an all star coach. Interesting.

Jerry Manuel was picked while we were calling for his head. I remember booing him at that All-Star Game.

I think the only reason he was picked in 2003 was becuase the game was at The Cell.

Woe is the Tigers uh? Tigers fans are starting to sound like Sox fans...

Ozzie didn't go last year so deal with it. He'll win the Manager of the Year award anyway. Isn't that enough for you?

Good.

Maybe Ozzie's interested in adding him to his staff once he's fired.

Actually Leyland was quoted at the beginning of the year saying he would decline any invite, citing that he didn't deserve to be there since he had taken so much time off. Not saying he would have been picked anyway, just sayin....

I think Ozzie picked two guys from non-glamour cities who've done a good job, for the most part and probably won't get much of a chance to go there in other years. Leyland, I believe, has been there. I think Ozzie wants no part of Torre, Scioscia or the other glam team names.

This seems logical.

Too bad Ozzie couldn't take Buddy Bell and let that count as the Royals' only representative.

Ozzie probably wanted to give some lesser known managers their due. I want to know why Herm isn't the trainer?

Gee, he had a chance to select the man who invented baseball, but chose Wedge instead.

Probably Herm's choice to spend three days with his family.

I remember booing him at that All-Star Game.

That was pretty funny, he got booed more than the Cubs reps did. And the Yankees.

You pretty much knew he was dead man walking by then, but this kind of confirmed it.

Didn't Herm get picked in '03?
