Oh joy. Does that mean the Trib can start planning for their victory parade this October?
They're "just" 17 games under .500!!!!!

The Cubs are always going to the World Series, there is always next year and there will be plenty of Cub fans buying tickets in February '07 to see a team that is lucky it has the Pirates in their division.

Something tells me Richard Pryor and Earl Woods might be a better option for the Cubs than Mark Prior and Kerry Wood right now.

My brother who is 8 and a little league pitcher might be better then Prior or Wood. Hell his whole little league team may be better then the Cubs

Well, even Mark Buehrle might have trouble throwing strikes to average-height eight year-olds! The little leaguers might just score all their runs on bases-loaded walks!

Whoa I just read what you wrote and went back and read what I wrote and sure as hell did not mean to put the Sox. I meant to say the Cubs. YIKES!

Well, like little league, everyone gets trophys, even last place teams, so they will get some kind of award right?

The most pathetic thing of all is that if the Cubs even had a decent team, they would indeed have a good shot at the playoffs. After watching interleague play, the NL--up and down the standings-- is a sorry lot compared to the AL.

That's the crazy thing, that if Lee were not injured, they'd be close to .500. Which is what i thought they'd be anyway, a mediocre, poorly coached, soft baseball team. they proved me wrong. they're worse. :redneck
