I thought it might be interesting to do sort of a Jack of All Trades Poll for the debates we have from time to time and see who supports what out there:

All Roads: Jose vs. Royce as Starting SS

Settled but still there: Singleton or Rowand(pre-Lofton)

Lesser of two evils: Paul vs M Johnson

Defense vs Offense: Do you want C Lee as your everyday LF

4th OF 2002: Simmons or Rowand

5th Starter: Biddle, Glover, or Wright

Wells Trade: Good or Bad(at the time of the trade)

Wells Trade Redux: Good or Bad(Now)

Todd Ritchie Pickup: Good Deal or Bad Deal

Media Whores: Erstad for Garland,S ingleton+ Deal: Do you do it?

Future 2B: Harris or Hummel

Rotating Smilie: Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Uglier: Karkovice or anyone else you have ever seen?

Whose the Better Future Hall of Famer: Brooks Kiescnik(sic) or Corey Patterson? My bad---different board;)
*Editors Note: Insert Blue Rock here

Better Nickname: LTP of El Caballo

Better Nickname Dos: Big Hurt or (your winner of LTP/El Caballo)

And perhaps I better stop while Im ahead....this is what happens when you wake up too early

None of these arguments are ever resolved...the team just makes a move to make the argument moot.

Well, this board would be pretty boring if there were no arguments -

Subject: Another Brilliant move by KW!
n/m
Subject: re: Another Brilliant move by KW!
yep!

There are certainly some good ones there. One suggestion for another one though. I know I am new to the board but how about:
New Comiskey vs. Old Comiskey... the urinal debate. The freedom of years past with the old urinal troft compared to the more restricted single urinal some of our younger fans have grown up with. It's a traditional many of our children will never know. If I am out of line just let me know.
PS. Jose at SS. :gulp:

I don't know, the troughs at Old Comiskey were pretty traumatic for me as a kid, especially when I was about 3 feet tall...

I guess all the rest rooms weren't all the same. The one I used to take my son to had a lowered trough with a sign above it that read "Only for future White Sox players". After seeing that sign he wanted to go to the rest room every 2 innings.

Jose

Singleton - Rowand hasn't proven anything yet.

Lesser of two evils: Paul vs M Johnson
Johnson

Yes

4th OF 2002: Simmons or Rowand
Rownd, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was traded and than the slot goes to Simmons.

5th Starter: Biddle, Glover, or Wright
Who ever wins it. I hope Wright.

Wells Trade: Good or Bad(at the time of the trade)
Good

Wells Trade Redux: Good or Bad(Now)
Good effort anyway. What did it cost us?

Todd Ritchie Pickup: Good Deal or Bad Deal
Love it!!!

Media Whores: Erstad for Garland,S ingleton+ Deal: Do you do it?
Thank God it got axed. The acquisition of Lofton makes that look like a really crappy deal.

Future 2B: Harris or Hummel
Hummel, but I'm still hoping they resign RayRay...

Rotating Smilie: Should I Stay or Should I Go?
:):):):):):):)

Uglier: Karkovice or anyone else you have ever seen?
Never really thought about it... Karko was pretty damn ugly... How about Pippen - that fool was NOT pretty to look at...

Whose the Better Future Hall of Famer: Brooks Kiescnik(sic) or Corey Patterson? My bad---different board;)

Better Nickname: LTP of El Caballo
El Caballo

Better Nickname Dos: Big Hurt or (your winner of LTP/El Caballo)
The Big Hurt is one of the great nicknames in all of baseball history, IMO - just like the guy who it refers to.

And perhaps I better stop while Im ahead....this is what happens when you wake up too early
Ditto, and I didn't get up until 10:15...

Jose Valentin

Settled but still there: Singleton or Rowand(pre-Lofton)

Aaron Rowand

Lesser of two evils: Paul vs M Johnson

Mark Johnson

No, I would want him as a DH and Thomas' "depleated skills" clause to be invoked.

4th OF 2002: Simmons or Rowand

Simmons

5th Starter: Biddle, Glover, or Wright

Glover

Good

Good, b/c we got rid of Sirotka. I'm glad that whiney baby is gone. Complaing about his infield defense to the papers. Ripping on Jose Valentin and Mike Caruso. I don't care how bad they were, don't go to the papers. What a b1tch.

Todd Ritchie Pickup: Good Deal or Bad Deal

Looks bad to me b/c we gave up my boy Lowe, but hopefully if he gets the 15-17 wins everybody expects, they I would say it was a good trade.

Media Whores: Erstad for Garland,S ingleton+ Deal: Do you do it?

Don't understand question.

Future 2B: Harris or Hummel

Anybody but ray-ray is fine with me. Haven't seen enough of either to decide.

Rotating Smilie: Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Stay, but don't overuse.

Uglier: Karkovice or anyone else you have ever seen?

Nothing uglier than seeing a 25 year old man look like he's 40.

Whose the Better Future Hall of Famer: Brooks Kiescnik(sic) or Corey Patterson? My bad---different board;)

Better Nickname: LTP of El Caballo

el Caballo with the horse sounds at comiskey. Thats priceless

Better Nickname Dos: Big Hurt or (your winner of LTP/El Caballo)

Big skirt pretty much sums up Thomas to me.

And perhaps I better stop while Im ahead....this is what happens when you wake up too early

Uglier: Karkovice or anyone else you have ever seen?

Plenty of ugly in recent baseball history:

Otis Nixon (the skin on his face looked two sizes too small)
Willie McGee (Ratface #1)
Gary Gaetti (Ratface #2)
Julian Tavares (his skin is twice as old as rest of him)
Walt Hriniak (his face would crack if he ever changed his expression)

Yeah, Karko was bad, but he had company..

He whines about playing the field.
He whines about his contract in ST.
He whines about management trading away his friends.
He whines more than a housewife.
Whine like a housewife then you get to wear a skirt.
Big Skirt it is.

This has gotten this far w/o a mention of Randy Johnson? Or BJ Surhoff?
