What can I say, it was a beautiful catch and he held on after the hard fall.

Thankfully he wasn't injured. I was positive it was going over his head.

The best part was see Herm Schneider jog 360 feet to the rightfield wall to check on Dye and then job 360 feet back to the dugout. Sox players got off the bench to high-five Herm when he came back.

When I saw him laying there, I was SURE we were going to lose him for a week minimum. I still wouldn't be surprised if he get a day off.

I was in the right centerfield bleachers. What an awesome catch.

That was HILARIOUS!

"Grinder Rule # 25: A good outfielder doesn't see the wall. He tastes it."

I first thought he dropped that (I was all the way in 149), and then was worried we would've lost him for a couple weeks. Fortunately I was wrong on both counts. Dye is a HUGE gamer!

I said the same thing to my buddy at the game. As soon as Dye went down, I said I hope he is OK, but we are about to see one of the best things you can at a Sox game. Herm making the monthly jog. He actually looks like he has lost a few pounds from the last time I saw him make that jog. The players meeting him at the steps was priceless.

Haha yeah Farmio and Chris were talking about that on the radio, it sounded really funny.

My dad loved seeing Herm run out there. It's no wonder he still holds his job after all these years. He's trying to burn off a few calories.

Honestly, looked like he took a bad route.

Yep, Farmer and Singleton were loving Hermie's jog.

Best conversation heard last night after the catch:

Guy1: I did the same thing in a softball game last week.

Guy2: Yeah but you didn't look as graceful.

Guy1: ...and I missed the ball

Thought he was hurt too. When they showed him laying on the ground, his hand was shaking quite a bit. Thought he had broke or dislocated something. Good thing I wasnt right!!!

Yep, Farmer and Singleton were loving Hermie's jog. How can you call running as hard as you can straight back a bad route :o:

When I saw the replay, it looked like he took a few steps towards center before breaking back. It could also be that I'm too sensitive now due to all the Rowand talk. :redneck

I thought it was a great catch...fabulous even. It was amazing that he was able to hold on....just a little incredible that it made only 2 on the Web Gems. It was a game saving situation IMO.

As much as I liked Mags, Dye is great and can hold his own with every Right Fielder in the league.

Honorable mention to Mack's....thought that would come out as well.

He didn't make a good break on the ball

LOL.

That was one of the best catches I've seen, period. Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief when he got up. I loved it when he held the ball up in the glove after being down about 30 seconds, too. Just awesome.
