Ooooh!!! I'm shaking in my white jersey with black pinstripes!

Seriously though, I'm glad we get to see what we can do with him.

Seriously though, I'm glad we get to see what we can do with him.Unless he can throw a few shutout innings, it won't help. If he'd been in the lineup the other two games he could have hit a HR every time up and they still would have gotten thrashed.

He may be a bit rusty, I doubt it though. Just have to deal with him like anyone else. I'm sure Freddy can handle him.

Was that supposed to be teal? :o:

The way the Sox are hitting, Pujols can go 5 for 5 with 7 RBI and it won't make a difference. :D:

Oh, BTW...

Glad I could help...

Hopefully he just makes a few outs tonight to be ready to crush the tigers all weekend.

Where did you hear this? Yesterday they were saying he'd be back "by Monday". I read that to mean maybe sometime this weekend if not Monday. They didn't know yesterday that he might be ready tonight. :?:

Oh and one more thing....

IT is also on the Cardinals website and it states Mark Mulder will be heading to the DL.

Darn it! I was hoping to see him at Tuesday's game. Maybe the score would have been 20 to 8 instead of 20 to 6. Albert Pujols is simply amazing. Guess I'll catch his strikeouts on SC tonight.

The Cardinals will activate slugger Albert Pujols from the disabled list before tonight's 7:05 CT matchup with the White Sox. Mark Mulder heads to the DL to make room for Pujols, who returns from a strained right oblique muscle. Anthony Reyes gets the start. I'm happy but he better be healthy!!

The Moves appear to be:
Pujols activated
Reyes activated

Duncan optioned to AAA Memphis - This isnt confirmed though
Mulder to DL with 'Sore Shoulder'

NO because he didn't even have to turn around to know those were home runs!

Since no one is the NL is smart enough to figure this out, maybe the Sox will be the first to do so: WALK HIM EVERY AT-BAT!

No challange him. I hate seeing teams do it to Bonds and I dont wanna see it now with Pujols. Sure if its the 8th with 2nd and 3rd and we are up 2 then yes walk him. However don't walk him with 2 outs and nobody on in the 1st.

I should have been more specific. Don't pitch to him in RBI situations or "game changing" situations.

I really don't care about all this challenging hitters stuff, I want the Sox to win and if that means walking Pujols four times, then he needs t obe intentionally walked four times.

Ideally for Sox, Pujols is rusty tonight but only needs one game to get back on track and he'll start clobbering the ball tomorrow.

I hope they're not rushing him back. If he re-injures himself, the Cards are pretty much toast, IMO.

Freddy is just going to have to be on his game.

Is Pujols really that good? It seems to me that it has been well established that the American Leauge is much better than the National League. You really have to ask yourself what kind of numbers Konerko could put up in that league. It is no coincidence that Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa put up their best season in the NL. Heck, McGwire admitted to juicing in Oakland, and he never came close to 70 home runs against AL pitching.

Obviously, the most significant thing about this is that the Cards are going to do everything they can to win this game. Figures. They have been embarrassed the past two games, and no one I know has ever accused LaRussa of being a gracious loser.

I SOOO want us to kick their asses once again and send them to Detroit in a really bad mood.

Sorry, call me a killjoy but is Albert playing going to help the sox win tonite?

I agree that Freddie should probably walk him- he will kill that high curve or Freddies or worse freddies 88 mph fastball.

Just hope he does not hurt freddie with a liner back thru the middle.

I'll take one game vs. Pujols as long as he plays all three against the Tiggers. That works for me.

Ok, the first part of my theory worked out. Now, I hope he's ready to show the Tigers how good he really is.
