The Cardinals organization and fanbase should be really embarressed by the last 2 games.
On the other hand the Sox are in some kind of zone. Lets keep it going. 13-5 yessssss!

13 runs? That's it? I remember when this team used to be good enough to score 20 runs in a game. Now it's like they just don't care enough anymore. :(:

Seriously, our offense has been dominant the past two nights. :bandance:

Another nice win tonight. What's impressive is that we're doing this against the Cardinals, the 2nd best team in the National League. Let's keep bringing the offense at 'em tomorrow as well.

Only 1 game back of the Kitties now as well :bandance:

It's no wonder that McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, and Pujols have put up such good numbers over the years. They were facing National League pitchers. We would win 140 games in this piece of crap league.

12-3 since Cintron homered off Rodney in the eighth inning on June 6. That hit got us going, and we've kept going ever since.

Guess plunking two of our guys last night really made a big impact.

Favorite moment: The Cards trainer pointing to his head as he escorted Edmonds into the dugout, signalling it was a concussion. Edmonds was dropping f-bombs all the way while walking off the field. I hope he's okay, but he looked punch drunk. Just like his whole team . . .

Seeing Mackowiak and Podsednik in that outfield, I told my friend before the game started that anytime there was a ball hit to center-left, I was going to write down a hit on my scorecard right off the bat.

I didn't end up getting a scorecard, but if I had gotten one, I wouldn't be that far off if I had done that...when the Sox were batting.

8+ runs 6 games in a row is a franchise record.

I called up Cheeses H Rice during the 3rd inning and told him that the post game thread's title should be "oops! I scored again!"

I thought there were times in the past two seasons where the Sox were clicking on all cylinders. However, right now they're clicking on all cylinders and using the cylinders of all the cars in Lots A,B and C! This team is making last year's team look like the Royals or Cubs.

Last night and tonight I had to keep reminding myself that the Cards are in 1st place and we're in 2nd.

BTW, don't make plans to go to or watch the game tomorrow night. I heard the Cards are sneaking out of town tonight to avoid further humiliation.

In other words, it makes perfect sense for the Cardinals to slink out of town and forfeit the 3rd game 9-0. It would be a more respectable showing than games 1 and 2 of this series!

What a nice couple of games; totally unexpected; the scoring spread, not the results.

Freddie better be on his game, I expect the Cardinal to come out with some fire.

I want to see this team put the suspension behind them and settle in for a tough second half against the Tigers and Twins (the Indians just might be broken at this point).

Some great baseball is up ahead and expect the boys to be ready.

I must say, I was very disappointed at the poor offensive output. I mean, come on, you score 20 runs on Tuesday, and then come out the next night and are only able to put up a paltry 13 ?

Went to the game (sat WAY up in sec. 535, row 18). This team is absolutely phenomenal right now. They were scoring runs at will, it seemed. Great atmosphere at the park too. I wouldn't call it arrogance, but there is just this sense of quiet confidence in the air among everyone. Cardinals score a run in the 1st ? Hey, no prob. See ? Sox come back with 4 of their own. Cards put up 2 more ? Meh...Here's 5 more from the Sox for you. On a side note, there were a good amount of Cardinal fans there. The ones I talked too were all very nice, and knowledgeable. They really gave the Sox their props. I told them I hope the Cardinals go undefeated the rest of the season after Thursday.
