Yeah, the 20th was almost as good as today's. Palehose 6 gets a daily visit from me.

Me too. It's about the only bookmark that I actually use!

I just love the parrot in the cowboy hat and sunglasses. Wasn't there a poster like that with the Hawk sans glasses in '85?

Thanks for starting a Palehose 6 thread, TornLabrum. Thanks for the kind words everybody. Im not much of a web board contributor, but I wanted to thank you for spreading the word.

I was finishing up the parrot comic strip for the 20th just as Ponson started plunking people. Then, the non-surrender/pink flag idea popped into my head. My wife looked at the parrot strip and said, It looks like youre almost done. You can get some sleep tonight. But I knew that a 20-run stomping needed to be recognized, and I had to make it late night by drawing another strip. So thanks for showing appreciation. Its incredible. It keeps me going. I know that some of my comic strip ideas are a lot better than others, so I appreciate the continued interest. The fact that everyone seems to have a different favorite strip is encouraging.

Thanks again,
Carl Skanberg

Love the comic Carl.
Is it just me, or does Captain Mullet look really badass?

Great work, Carl! Most people don't understand how difficult it is to come up with a clever gag on a regular basis, let alone illustrate it so that it's funny and on point. You pull it off in a big way!

Your work really reminds me of "Calvin and Hobbes" in the pacing and in their sharp focus. Keep up the good work.

Carl,
Keep up the good work. I especially like the little quips in there from the "Parrot", like "I love that duck!" or "Can O' Corn!". My personal favorite is one of the earlier ones where Ozzie tells Baines that he is being replaced by a more dynamic personality, and Ozzie puts the rock on the table.:roflmao:

Carl - Your comics are great! They're hilarious and they're still funny the second time around. I love the most recent one with the pink flag and the ones with the "ursa whiner." Keep up the great work!

I just started looking at these about two minutes ago thanks to that link, and they are freaking hilarious. Sean Tracey doesn't like to drink rum and kill people!

Intentional or not, I found the use of the pink flag to be particularly topical given the hubbub over Ozzie's comment about Moronotti. Pink flag? Keep bombing them. Don't know if it was intentional, but maybe your subconscious was working overtime if not...

I love how Hawk is Ozzie's parrot. Genius!

edit - "Mother used to say if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all .....which is why I worry about you, Harold." Ha!
