Yessss! And this is where KW, playing the part of the food server, slips truth serum into Tony's Scotch. Then Jerry asks him to explain his strategy for the upcoming series against the Sox.

Whatever it takes!!!!

Thanks for the link! I enjoyed the tone of that piece.

I'm really looking forward to the Sox-Cardinals series. And I have fond memories of the LaRussa years, especially the "winning ugly" season.

What's their favorite ethnic food?

Tony likes Ethiopian and Indian, on account of the wide variety of vegetarian options.

They'll probably be spotted at Gibson's. That's where everyone else seems to go!

I laughed out loud when I read that Reinsdorf considers the firing of LaRussa to be his second-greatest mistake ever, and the hiring of Hawk as GM to be his first. Made me realize again how fortunate this club is to have KW and Ozzie here, who do so much to prevent Reinsdorf from making truly boneheaded moves.

JR will be. It was the selling point in the deal that will send Garland, Gload and Tracey to St. Louis for Carpenter, Wainwright and Pujols. The Sox will also be sending a few Tastes of Chicago care packages to the Cardinals front office.

"Where are they going to play?"

At first, I thought the thread was about that horrible movie with Julie Roberts called Sleeping with the Enemy....

Didnīt Berman have nickname for Eric Bienemy playing along with that title?

Don't think they are only doing dinner this time when we are playing them.. I know for a fact that every single time the Cardinals are in Chicago playing the minor league team up north, JR and LaRussa sit down for dinner.. they are best friends....

Don't forget that they're both lawyers. (Tony got his degree a number of years ago.)

Technically, yah, they both have law degrees. That's about as far as I'd go with that one.
