YESS!! I loveee playing the NL! BA is heating up(can we stop the get BA out of town threads now), and Uribe had a good game at the plate too.

U have to love Crede's Grand Slam, and Riske made his White Sox debut.

Damn Cubs lost to the Tigers... lets go Cubs beat those Tig's!

I have nothing but good things to say tonight. I like it when the Sox lead the game from beginning to end.

How about those Sox fans in Cincy? Wow! You guys were really loud. Keep it up. I'm sure the Sox really appreciated the support!

BA was doing it all tonight--hitting, fielding and baserunning. BA and Uribe are getting hot at the perfect time with interleague play.

lets go Cubs beat those Tig's!

I have a better chance of winning the Lotto tomorrow.

Nope. The team hasn't been called the Redlegs since the McCarthy era (when they were given that name because "Reds" wasn't too popular). Their name is the Cincinnati REDS.

Last time I checked the Indians aren't the Toons either but people here keep calling them that. And the Twins aren't the Twinkies.

Arnold Rothstein burn in hell. :D:

That was a major can of whup ass opened by our offense tonight. Once again every regular reached safely at least once and the bottom of the lineup continues to claw their way back to respectability.

Two mistakes by Freddy (the three run shot barely cleared) were all the Red Stockings / Reds / Redlegs could muster. Riske looked good in his first go around with the White Sox.

Farmer remarked on the many White Sox fans in attendance. Hopefully they will watch a three game sweep.

Nice to see 20 runs scored in the last two days.

But perhaps more encouraging is the fact that every member of the starting lineup (including Freddy) got a hit tonight. Even better was that this was the second day in a row that they did it.

Go offense!

Just the way this Sox fan loves it! :D:

What a game! What an outcome! It was awesome especially to see Anderson contribute greatly to the game tonight. He can maybe build on his confidence bit by bit this weekend...He could use a booster. It truly looked like Freddy was having some fun out there tonight too, which is good for a change in comparison to his past few starts.

Arnold Rothstein burn in hell. :D:  Right after Crede's slam, I told my daughter those were the first Sox runs in Cincinnati since 1919. She thought that was pretty cool, 'til I had to remind her what happened back then. Thankfully, 2005 is the best balm for that.

Freddy had a great all-round game yet is somehow the most frustrating guy to watch pitch. At least, when Garland's not pitching.

Good to see BA keep coming around. That hustle double was sweet.

No pressure guys, but we need a sweep!

 Right after Crede's slam, I told my daughter those were the first Sox runs in Cincinnati since 1919.

Didn't the Sox sweep Cincinnati at Cinergy Field back in 2000? I could have sworn Frank Thomas hit a pinch-hit home run to sweep it during Game 3 of that series (it was a day game)! They've actually only lost 1 game in Cincinnati since the inception of interleague play (going 10-2 against them in that span).

Speaking on behalf of most of the Sox Army that went to Cincy (I live in Dayton), there were so many fans! I hope there are more tomorrow night!

On a Father's day note, I missed Crede's GS because I was in the potty with my son. He be there with me on Sunday.

I'm flying into Indianapolis tomorrow morning and I already have my ticket for Sunday (section 120, row Z, seat 3), and since I'll be there in plenty of time for the game tomorrow night I'll see what kind of seat I can get (the sun/moon deck seems pretty intriguing, but wherever I end up I'll be happy). :D:

Redlegs was their official nickname in the 50s and 60s because the country didn't want no damn communists!

Actually I prefer "Dickities" which was a caustic nickname applied to the Reds on a NL Central rival's fan message board. (no, not the Flubs fans, they're not that clever. :D: )

Nice win by the Sox tonight, I'm glad Pods, BA and Uribe are hitting the ball.

Nope. The team hasn't been called the Redlegs since the McCarthy era (when they were given that name because "Reds" wasn't too popular). Their name is the Cincinnati REDS.

When I was a little kid, I actually had a jacket, or a sweatshirt, or something, that said Redlegs on it (I grew up in Cincinnati). It was part of an enormously bad collection of 50s-era kids clothing our neighbors gave us after their kids had grown up and moved out. Even as a kid, I recognized this stuff was all ancient history and hated it! Although I wish I still had that Redlegs jacket!
