Per ESPN.com, Esteban Loaiza was arrested on DUI charges after getting pulled over for doing "in excess of 120mph" in his Ferrari. Now that's a comforting thought - a DUI with a leadfoot in a hot sports car. Slow down, Esteban!

If you're going to get caught doing 120 you better be in a sweet car. That headline would suck if he was caught doing 120 in an 88 civic.

Can an '88 Civic even do 120? Or 100, for that matter?
Slightly off-topic, I saw a show in the History Channel on the Autobahn, and they showed film of a guy getting a souped-up Porsche up to 212 MPH on a remote part of the Autobahn in the middle of the night.
That's faster than NASCAR drivers go. Scary...

My personal choice for getting busted doing 120 would be in a 1971 Ford Torino GT.

The crazy part, left out of the police report, is that he was actually drag racing these guys:

That's the thing I don't understand. If any of us got arrested for driving 120 mph under the influence, do you think we would have gotten out of jail that night, and then been able to go to work like nothing happened?

Yes, as long as we posted bail.

Yes, as long as we posted bail.

Maybe, but I'd have to spend the night since I'm poor. :(:

However, I've known of people to get fired over non-work related behavior like this.

Loaiza, Thomas, Bradley.....glad to see Billy Beane puts such a priority on character. Guess he prefers characters.

Bail in Illinois would $100, not that bad. I've known a few folks who have kept their jobs after stuff like this. Unless your job is dependant on driving, odds are you won't be canned. But every company is different.
