Do you still care about wha the Cubs do and what the Cubune writes? If so, why waste your time?

Good question? However, why is there the "http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/images/buttons/firstnew.gif (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=71871) *Official* You write tommorrows Cubune headline VII (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=71871) " in the Clubhouse. Time to take it out and focus on the Sox.

Oh, okay. If you say so.

LISTEN UP!! I'm only guessing, but I'd say the reason that thread is still around is because it is WILDLY POPULAR! If it were not, it would be gone. Why is it popular? Well, maybe because it gives Sox fans an outlet and allows them to exercise their creativity. (Again, that's just a guess.)

I agree that thread should be in WTS? (stickied?) but it's not excuse for this topic to be in the White Sox clubhouse. Although it is a question to White Sox fans, it's about the Cubs.

As for the question itself, I never read the Tribune, but enough seeing people ripped apart their negative headlines and hidden agendas against the Sox.

As for that crappy team, it's not the same as it was during the Corky-Baylor era. The announcers are just bland, some of their players are actually likeable, Wood will probably be gone from the organization after this year (if not before 7/31,) the Prior hype is gone, Patterson is gone, Hendry is exposed (only good trades were salary dumps or where another team needed to rid the player out of town,) some of the fans actually care about the baseball team winning (due to the Sox winning the World Series, but like Hendry, they'll never admit it,) and after years of the fans denying it from Sox fans, Wrigley field is selling out corporately with the ELECTRONIC McDonald's scoreboard, rotating home plate sign, and renaming their most prized and historic seats after a crappy beer made by the OWNERS OF THEIR SO CALLED HISTORIC RIVAL. :kneeslap:

Honestly, since we won the world series i try not to acknowledge their existence... they are a pathetic franchise....

Even their fans don't put up a fight anymore, they just sit there and take it up the a**... takes the fun out of what used to be entertaining arguments

CSF,

This sums up how I feel even after a tough loss. I want to see it again but in many ways I'm still numb that I saw it happen last year. We need to do more of this :D: and less :(: .

I care when I walk into a Finish Line store and see ZERO White Sox jerseys, shirts, etc. and DO see wall full of Cubs jerseys from Pierre and Jones to Wood and Proir.

I am in the minority. I want to not care, but its obvious that the Tribune, its company softball team and the fans of that team will never respect the White Sox or its fans. Ignore them and they'll go away? Let me know how that's working for you and I'll consider it.

I did, for one. If this had been two separate polls, fine, but as a professional writer and editor, I definitely care about what a large metropolitan newspaper thinks--and says.

Where is the option for people who prefer soy?

I try hard not to care, but it's difficult to not get miffed when the Cubs,- 13 games under .500 and 1 game ahead of the last place Pirates at the moment- still get shoved down our throat by that company that owns 6 media outlets in this town alone. When not bombarded by constant "analysis" about what they need to do to "get back in it like Houston did last year", we are informed again and again about the "wonderful charms of historic Wrigley Field", and watch as they wet their pants promoting the fact they use cell phones to call the bullpen. Other outlets, both print and electronic, are almost as bad. Meanwhile, the 15 games over .500 team, the one that WON THE WORLD SERIES last year, and currently is involved in a division battle with the Tigers, gets about the same coverage and treatment (with a few exceptions) as they have for the last 10-15 years. Small example: the only picture the Cubune printed from Monday nights victory of the Rangers was of Scott Podsednik misplaying that fly ball.

Seriously who gives a ****. I want my Sox in first ****ing place. If the Cubs winning will help the cause so be it. I hope the Tigers get swept by the Cubs. Let 'em have 3 worthless wins.

It is encouraging to know that at the moment there are 14 people who realize they are walking idiot stereotypes. Recognizing the problem is the first step towards a cure.
