Def Scottie Pippen too...

One day I was fighting my friend to pay for the two beers...I held out $12(i know i know. i tip most of the time) and my buddy held out a $20...He takes my money counts it and then hands it back to me and says "I know what I'm getting from you, at least I have a chance with this guy"

My tickets are in section 159 and I see her every game now. My sister and I affectionately refer to her as the librarian. The best is when she tries to bang on the top of the hot dog box, but it just ends up being an inaudible tap.

Our seats are in 161 -

Bob the beer guy is the best. We can depend on him to always make it down to us instead of selling out towards the top and being lazy.

Asian Hot dog lady is great too - I've never bought a hot dog from her, but we imitate her every game. Whisper the word 'hot dog' as softly as you can, and that my friends is how she sells her product.

I also give props to Russell the beer guy in the LF seats. Iiiiiiiiivvve got beeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! Milllllllerrrrrr Liiiiiiiitttttttteeeeee!!!!

She's in 159 all the time, her Name is Ho Phun. I Also saw her at the Cubs game I was at, she was selling peanuts there. I wish I liked Hot Dogs, I'd order one everytime from her! Well if I could hear her all the way from the Aisle to seat 1.

What happened to the Angry guy that allways had half his head shaved and sold things with uncomfortable ramblings?

I remember the last few years of old Comiskey Park there was an old guy who sold hot dogs in the left field stands. What used to crack me up about this guy was that he would go down to the first row and make his way from one end to the other and made everybody get up as he passed. Used to piss a lot of people off but we would always laugh, 'cause that was his modus operandi, so to speak.

Also does anyone know if Lisa, the beer vendor who appeared as a contestant on The Mole several years ago, is still there?

The Scottie Pippin guy works my section. My buddy won't buy from him because his brother once gave him a big tip at a Bears game and the vendor ignored him the rest of the game. I'm told that if you call him "Scotty," he won't be pleased.

There is a hot dog vendor who shows up about 2-3 games per homestand who looks like Jermaine Dye with a shave and about 10 years younger (he looks early to mid 20's). We're talking siblings!

EDIT: I just remembered the 500 year old ice cream man. When Veeck owned the team, my friends and I would always sit in the front row of the Right Field UD (he never sold those seats). Every game, around the 2nd inning, the 500 year old ice cream man would come by. Instead of walking up and down the stairs, he would walk across the section making us move out of the way so he could get by. He would only appear at early season games when it was too cold to eat ice cream. We never saw him in the heat of the summer. I would buy his ice cream (vanilla in the cups) because I felt sorry for his sales prospects.

Not to sound terrible, but those big-arse cotton candy sticks are atrocious. When you guys stand them in the aisle when someone orders, they block the view of 4-5 people (usually me). I know it not your fault, but geez, there has to be a better way of distribution.

You think YOU hate it?! We get berated on those things...try carrying that on a Friday night. Yikes! :o: But on an average cotton candy night, I'll probably make $60 at the worst. Not bad for 2 hours work, I guess.

I'm all over the park. Beer vendors usually stick to the same couple of sections since there's so many of them, but food vendors (pop, hotdogs, CC) are everywhere.

I'm glad my buddies and I aren't the only ones who think that AHDL sells hot dogs using the Force. I always get one, so I must be weak-minded.

I went to high school with Ryan in the lower deck so he always has an MGD for me if I'm in his section.

Scotty worked our section back when we had season tickets (late 1980's/early 1990's). I hadn't seen him since then until last week when I was sitting in the lower deck. He DEFINITELY was not please to be called Scottie 15 years ago. It ust amazes me how much he looks like him. It's not like Scottie Pippen has a common face.

Re-read my post. You were born over two years after Veeck sold the team. The guy was 500 years old in the 1970's. I don't know how tall he was since he was stooped over from 500 years of weight on his shoulders.

Do you not buy from the vendor you mentioned because you are in a hurry?

Tony the hotdog guy is the loudest vendor in the mjor leagues. But he's one of my favorites. There used to be this guy in his late teens/low 20's kinda weird but he was selling a "supernintendo ice cream apocolypse", and "lemonade, lemonade better than your grandma made" the last couple times ive seen him. Another one that hasn't been mentioned yet, real weird goofy guy, kinda younger. Few years back he sold ice cream sandwiches saying iiiiiiiiiiiiice creeeaaaaaaam sandwiiiiiiiiich. And last year he was selling super rope and cotton candy and was acting all depressed kinda like a Napoleon Dynamite type role it was pretty hilarious, funny guy. Whether or not he's trying to be funny is a different story, but he's a funny vendor.

There's also a beer vendor that me and my friends know as AV Man because he was the AV man back at our high school.

And then there's Glenn the beer vendor who was a Little League Baseball Coach for one of the teams whose games I always umpired a few years back.

I know a guy named Les who sells beer in the UD. I first saw him at a few Cubs games in my friends section (yes, I went when offered a ticket - I enjoy all baseball, but wear a Bears hat to those games). In the ALCS last year, I saw Les in the UD and bought a beer from him. Good guy. Saw him a lot this year, he'll come by with a friendly face, shake my hand if no one is near me or it's between innings, etc.

The one point he made last year I thought was interesting was how cheap he thought the Sox fans were at tipping compared to the northside. That makes sense to me, since drunken Cub fans probably tip more and more the drunker they get just to keep the beer flowing. However, he did tell me of a guy who bought a beer that was $5.50 from him and asked for his 50 cents back. I must agree, that's cheap.

Anywho, long story short, I tend to buy beer from the concession stands, but if I see Les nearby, I tend to buy one from him.
