Anyone know much about this guy? I guess he's only 33 and has played for 24 teams over the span of 14 years. Looks like he has put up some decent numbers and the Sox are hoping he can make it up to the big league club in the near future.

I'm pretty sure he pitched his first game for the Knights last night.

Edit: Sorry mods, thanks for moving the thread.

A 94 mph slider and a split finger? Are you kidding me? It sounds like his fastball would be in Jenks territory. With an arm like that I'm surprised he hasn't had time in the majors. Maybe it's location and Coop can do something with him. He's definitely a guy to follow.

I was also wondering why he hasn't gotten more playing time up in the majors. The guy sounds like he has good stuff. It would be nice if he works out and could just take Nelson's spot in the pen.

He was originally drafted by the Sox in 93 in the 41st round. In his time with MLB clubs, his numbers are far from impressive:

2-2 11.66 ERA 14.1 IP in 14 appearances.

This is seemingly an effort to add some depth/effectiveness to the AAA bullpen. Maybe the Sox/KW are planning on making some moves that would impact the Knights roster and they wanted a bit of insurance.

Well, it looks like we'll never hear about this guy again unless he hits and injures someone famous.
