Until someone else leads this franchise to a World Series, Nellie gets it...

That, and Fox Field sounds really cool... Yes, I am a fan of alliteration

Hey come on it had a nice ring to it...and we could have a giant mural of his mug right in the entrance way.

I think the objective is to bring fans in,not drive them away.

I dunno. Naming the ballpark for Karkovice wouldn't be such a stretch. He set all sorts of major league records for ugly.

I love Pudge, but let them name the new Fenway after him.

how about fisk field. the fans loved him, and then maybe he wouldn't hold as big of a grudge against management for forcing him out

Joe Jackson Park.

If we name it after someone on the poll list, I'm gonna go with Joe Jackson. If the Hall of Fame won't honor him the White Sox still could by renaming New Comiskey Park after him. If we name it after someone not on the poll, I'm gonna go with Bill Veeck.

this decision is so hard.....but I'm going with Jackson. I had reservations about the whole gambling thing....despite who youbelieve about that affair. I guess he's the guy if there canonlybe one. Butwhat about Pale Hose Park?

goodthing the Old Romantook this out of ourhands, huh?

I think we'd get sued if we named it "Buddy Lee Field", but it would allow the naming rights to be sold and it sort of rhymes...

In fact that is now my vote for the new name of the Ball Park...

The owners would never let us name it after Shoeless anyway...

Here, I came up with a better slogan for the new Joe Jackson Park.

"No shoes, just SOX!"

I'm surprised nobody has voted for Aparicio. Maybe the 50's sentimental vote is all going to Nellie Fox? He's doing better than I expected.

My man, Minnie, is going down in flames. :(:

How's this sound...

"Mr. White Sox Park"

Nah.

Maybe we could use the name issue as a motivator--ya know, we give it the name "Officer Kark Park" or "Dybzinski Diamond" or "Bee Bee Richards Coliseum" or "Ed Farmer Institute For Narcoleptic Inducement" and won't take it off until the Sox expunge it with a world champeen-ship. :)

Seriously, Veeck Field/Stadium would get my vote over that of any player.

How about Big Ed Field at Nellie stadium?

The Karking Parking lot?

With Rowand's wall in the outfield.

John Cangelosi Ballpark

Roy Smalley Stadium

Scott Fletcher Field

Joel Skinner Park

O.K. I'm just being completely ridiculous here.

On a serious note, I would love to name the park after Bill Veeck.

Veeck it the obvious choice, IMO. Still hope they just sell the naming rights and I am still voting for Buddy Lee Field...

you're all missing the obvious - Bevington Field - it has class, a nice ring to it - and you're gauranteed everyone would simile when they said it!

I loved Little Looie, but he (through no fault of his own) spent a pretty good chunk of his prime with Baltimore. My choice is pretty obvious.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Veeck was a Cubs fan.

It used to be fun in the 70's during a summer afternoon to go sit in the bleachers at Wrigley. They would draw about 7K fans back in those days and the bleachers weren't even close to full. Veeck used to sit out there in his shorts catching a tan with his wooden leg. Sometimes you could get close enough to him to listen to the stories...

Either way... If you are going to name the ballpark for an ex- member of the Sox organization, it should be for Veeck, because he is THE single most recognizable name to the fans of Chicago. He was a singular showman who understood marketing like we only wish JR did today. Will it increase attendance to name the field after Veeck? Who knows, but it cannot hurt the team to embrace their most charasmatic and best known personality from their past, IMO

All you people are absolutely neglecting your no-miss chance of naming the ballpark after a White Sox player beloved by millions the world over.

Does Sosa Field ring a bell?

If they make that the name then it should also be mandatory that all fans wear the memorial Beavington big red clown shoes in his honour.:redneck

Let me give ideas.

The Guillen Field
Canseco's House of Hardball (j/k)
Fisk Field
Dan Ryan Ballpark (it's right off the Ryan, so it's logical)
Ballpark Number 35
Shields Field
Projects Park (there's a housing project across from the EXPY j/k)
Belle Gardens (j/k)
White Sox Park (probably the best one)
Change the color scheme to the old park, and keep the Comiskey Park
Cicotte Colloseum
Jackson Park

But for the jackpot of them all:
Navarro Field

IMO the only navarro who's worth talking about is dave navarro.

How can you put Juan "I throw gasoline on the fire" and Marc "Booter" Hill together? No one in a White Sox uniform ever got me as upset by his very appearance on a field as Agosto did, but the Booter Boy was alright.
