It only took him 5 games and 5.1 innings to pick up his first Major League Win. I know I will dedicate one beer to Agustin this evening.:gulp:

I love when guys get their first major league hit, or first major league win, stuff like that. It makes me think about what it would be like to get my first major league win or hit. (Or deep pink. You choose.)

Why did Hangar get banned, anyways?

Also, today I finally made it down to Chicago when the Sox we're in town!

I'd like to see Montero pitch a little more often. His stuff looks to be pretty good.

It should be noted that Montero is from San Pedro de Macoris, which is the same town a certain former Northside Juicer con Cork ourfielder is from.

So here's to Agustin Montero...the PRIDE of San Pedro de Macoris! :gulp:

Sox are his 4th organization. Orginally signed by Oakland in 1995. He has also been with the Dodgers and Rangers. This year was his first callup to the majors.

I don't want to get in trouble for linking to any of his posts over there but for all who care hs IS alive and well.

Back on track: Way to go Montero, hopefully he can continue improving and have many more games like yesterday, not like we need someone to step up and help our pen.

Since Montero was one of the first to be suspended under MLB's steroid policy, maybe he and Corky are good friends. Why does this board condemn juicers except if they play for the White Sox. Montero is a juicer.

I didn't know Fenway got banned too.

Back to topic. I hope Montero and Tracey can show us they can hold their own in our bullpen. That would go a long way to solving a major weakness.
