Come on Astos, just hit one to Jockstrap in right. That should end it.

99....time for Crusty to let him throw 136 only to give a two out hit in the ninth.

Through 7...listening to idiot Cub radio guys on the way home (Hughes and Santo sub) and they're talking about it. You're not supposed to do that, let's see if it jinxes him or not.

100 pitch just thrown with no outs in the 8th.

There it is, Preston Wilson with 1 out in the 8th. He has to be more efficient if he ever wants to get a no-hitter.

The guy has over 115 pitches. Not that the no-hitter is over, what is the point in leaving him in?

Pretty impressive up until now. 7.1 IP of no-hit ball and drove in half the Cub runs (3 run HR and RBI sac fly).

preston wilson ends itWow. I no sooner yelled upstairs to my son that Zambraino was throwing a no-no than Wilson singled not 10 seconds later. How's that for power?

Now watch the media build this up as if it was the best pitching performance of all time. The Trib will treat this one-hitter almost the same as if he had pitched a no-hitter.

well, last night in dynasty mode in MVP Baseball, Jon Garland pitched a CG giving up only one run, but went 3 for 5 with 6 RBI's and one homerun against the cubs.

digital jon garland pwns all.

The Cubune will treat is the same way as Balsa's 20K game against the Stros 10 some years ago. Another historic mark in MLB history!

Who cares\why the great glee that zambrano didnt get the no hitter. Its obvious he does have talent, it doesnt affect the sox. I see more and more hangars obsessed with the cubs doing bad, who cares?

Let zambrano get 20 no hitters, it will up his value that the cubs cant afford and send him packing

At least Hangar18 is on his "vacation" so we are spared what would have been a paranoid bombardment of Flubsessed rants over the coverage of Zambrano's one-hitter.

I can't stand Zambrano but this guy can pitch. The only person who can stop him from being a really big winner is Carlos Zambrano. He's got great stuff; he's just a hot dog.

Laughing at the misfortunes of others? I wonder about some of you. Can't you just enjoy an amazing performance by a great pitcher? Sigh...

Sure, we can all appreciate a great performance by a great pitcher...
as long as it's not Zambrano.

Uh......let's see......no. First off he is a Cub. Second he is a jagbag. He is one of the biggest bastards in baseball. And you want to cheer for him? I don't think so.

First off: who cares if he is a cub?
second: Yes he is a jagbag but a no hitter is an amazing fact

Being a cub doesn't matter. Regardless of who you play for, a highly skilled player is fun to watch. As far as him being a jagbag, that is true, but if he were on the Sox you would love him. A.J. is a jagbag, but we love him. Hmmm...
