Today on the Mike and the Mad Dog Show YES Net/WFAN.

He was asked about the yankees trading for an of. He claimed he had been offered some well known names but the asking price was too high. (Cano/Wang ??)
He said it would be hard for him to trade Wang since he is the best 3rd rotation starter in baseball.
Chris Russo~ WHAT, c,mon Brian, he is not having that good a year, era is over 5, he is not even close to the white sox 3rd, Freddie Garcia, who is probably the 3rd best in the game.

Chris Russo ~ Speaking of the White Sox, what about Jose Contreras and the way he is pitching for them, what happened here?
Cashman~ The NY pressure, he always had the look of a pitcher pitching in the 7th game of the WS. Also, their pitching coach Cooper was able to make some changes which stuck. He was never able to adapt to changes we made while he was here.
Let me remind you guys of something, all the gm's in mlb knew Contreras was available, to his credit Kenny Williams was the only gm who saw something.

Cashman is a fool. Asking price too high? This is what happens when you have no farm system to speak of, teams will demand the young players that are already on the major league team. And who are those people on the Yankees- Cano and Wang. The Yankees will not get anyone good unless they trade one of those two.

The Yankees will not get anyone good unless they trade one of those two.Oh thats a bit harsh... They can also deal that stud Terrence Long!:D: At least Cashman was decent with his comments about KW.
