Knock it off.

You want to root for your team, do it elsewhere. We (that means Sox fans) ain't buying it anymore.

Feel free to talk about the team you root for in completely objective terms.

Don't participate in game threads that have to do with your team unless you are willing to remove ALL emotion from your posts.

It's just that simple.

We're biased. Completely biased.

Other than that... enjoy your stay...:?:

I remember reading something that said that Daver could hit a really small object at a really far distance with one of his guns...can't remember the exact numbers, but it was pretty damn impressive.

A 6 inch target at 2000 yards or something like that.

I can do that one handed aiming into a swirling wind.

A 6 inch target at 2000 yards or something like that. And that's with a two-inch barrel .38 special S&W Chief's special! You should see what he can do with a sniper rifle!

Voodoo's post is worth keeping around with a sticky, IMO.

Tread lightly, Tigger fans.

The Sundarbans, India, 1886. Lord and Lady Daver stand proudly over a fearsome Tiger bagged by his lordship from 2000 yards.

He used to bullseye womprats with his T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than two meters.

I was wondering the same thing. Watch it, Dump; when you say stuff like "Voodoo is the nice one," you take a chance on having all the other mods interpret it to mean that you think that they are not the nice ones. Pretty risky stuff, IMO!

I resent that. I think my posts have been fine. Obviously the owners of the site can do what they want. It's their bandwidth. I was just trying to make a light hearted joke. I've never gone into a sox game thread. I like to talk about baseball. This looks like a great site. Internet message boards are VERY hit and miss.

Sarcastic comments such as your last one are to be put in teal. I'd follow the rules if you want to stick around.

Tiger fans must be nervous having to troll Sox sites. I have no doubts the Sox will win the Central Division by 6-7 games over the second place Indians.

Will do. There was nothing meant to be sarcastic in post #17. This is a great site. I meant to say "hit or miss". Most sports message boards are hard to get accustomed to. I like this one.

If you are referring to my attempt at humor earlier then I will follow the rules. Didn't see it.

I'm really not trying to cause trouble. This is a Sox site. I get it. I like to see what other fans think of my team because obviously it's hard to be objective sometimes.

Sox fans like myself are looking forward to the Tigers series coming up this week. We will be finding out what the Tigers are all about.

I was referring to the "Sox fans must be getting nervous" comment. Whether or not you think such a comment is trolling really makes no difference, it's what the moderators here think of it.

I love when fans of other teams are on WSI and talk good baseball. But just remember this place is totally biased. Hence, I wouldn't taunt Sox fans around here.

I appreciate that. My plan was to just browse the Sox areas and occasionally post in the baseball areas on general baseball topics. I don't like it when I'm at a game and some fans of the other team act obnixous. I've seen the Tigers play in Chicago and Toronto and outside of my Tiger hat or jersey you never would have known I was a fan. Didn't clap or yell or anything. This is your bar.

It's cool. Like I said, most folks here welcome the discussion. I welcome it mostly b/c I do not get to see the Tigers play much at all. Therefore, fans of other teams can often provide some good information. I am looking forward to the series this week.

Once again, same here...

You all probably think I'm Oblong's licensed agree monger.

I respect the rules and the fact that this is your site. There is a good reason for being so tight, in the sense that there are many fans that will try to come onto boards like this and cause trouble, heckle, etc. I don't want to be considered one of them, and I will contribute to the discussion in an nonbiased way, as is the wishes of the house. This is *your* house, and not mine, and I respect the rules and groundwork which have been laid.

I apologize for any problems you've been having with other Tiger posters. I would like to think Tigers fans are above Cub fans, but some of them can make me doubt that.

And now you gone too. Come on... who's next. I'll take out evey single one of you dumbasses. I really don't give a ****. Who else wants a piece of me?

:dirtyharry :dumbass:

EDIT: Okay, you made nice so I relented and reinstated you. Not that you ever knew you were banned, but it wouldn't be the first time "great fans" of other teams got banned for seemingly innocent "jokes". Ask Ma-Gaga about all the Twinkie fans piled up in the troll meat celler after starting out just fine. It's a very fine line around here and I hope you guys can live up to your claim to be fans of the game who aren't looking to start trouble.

I almost did the same thing (before you did, Voodoo), but happened to read on before I lowered the axe. I don't know what possessed me to read on or there would have been two of these posts.

Note to Oblong: That's exactly how fine a line it is here for would-be trolls.

Cubs fans are face down in their own spittle thinking about how they've reached "turning point" in their season. It's usually best to ignore their existence.

I like the Tiger talk and the Tigers; I have the away Gothic 'D' and other Tiger stuff. I obviously liked it better when the Tigers were in the AL East, but baseball out of greed expanded (again).

But when its all said and done the White Sox come first.

This is precisely why I asked "why all the Tigers fans?" in the "Let's Go Yankees" thread...it IS difficult to remain totally biased if you have fans of other teams posting. I knew it wouldn't take long before certain individuals crossed that very, very fine line. I don't mind talking baseball with fans of other teams but you do have to be respectful of the team whose site you are on. I wouldn't go to an Indians board, a Cubs board, etc and gloat after my team has beaten theirs. If that's too much to handle then you shouldn't visit "enemy" territory.

Just my 2 cents.

Exactly...and since the Tigers are ahead of us right now, you can bet I was pulling for Cleveland to beat them. I'm not looking that far down the road yet and just assuming Detroit will flounder and the Tribe will be there at the end.
