That's bad news for the Sox, means they play something like 21 straight days. That's why they wanted the July game.

Interesting that the home team is forced to have to accept the date they didn't want in order to accomodate the visiting club.

You'd think it would work the other way wouldn't you?

on the AM they said if there's a dispute between teams there is a union vote to decide the date or some crap like that

you'd think they would have it during the day.....since they already sold 30,000 tickets, and that the angels might want to get some sleep that night.

Lip, It's not as bad as you think. The Sox will be coming home from a weekend set at Toronto (12:07 first pitch on the Sunday game), and will have had a day off the Thursday before to travel from Kansas City. After the Angels game, they are at home for the Yankees, Tigers and Royals, before going to Minnesota and Detroit, and then returning home to face the Twins, a day off on August 28, and then home for the Devil Rays. All in all, the travel isn't that brutal and they are home for 17 total games in August. Yes, they will be playing tough teams, but if they get on a roll, they should be fine.
