View Full Version : WSIFest: Change of Date to August 14!!!!!

TornLabrum
05-30-2006, 11:10 PM
Okay, I've got some prices now from Kurt. The cost for August 14 is the $44/ticket ($14 for the seat + $30 for the patio). HOWEVER, the price for the 15th is $56/ticket ($16 for the seat but $40 for the patio). For that price difference, I'll try to dump my 'Hammers tickets.

More details as they become available.

Fixed. 4 and 5 are next to each other, and I've been up since 4:30 a.m.

Nope, the 14th is listed twice. Whatever day it is, I don't care, I'm there.

I'm 20, my friend was 20, and we were both at CotC. There's no age restrictions except when getting alcohol, but that is to be assumed.

You can just buy the patio pass and then walk to your upper deck seat after the patio party.

You can still ask for the kids patio rate if you're under 21.
I think the non-drinkers can get away with that rate too.

Does the order form have a space for ordering kids patio rate? I was unaware of such a thing.

I paid the full amount last time, and I'm only 20. What's the discounted rate? How do we get it?

TornLabrum

I'll check with either Kurt or Mary Kay from the WCSF (since we often have kids at our events) on that, but I don't think kids rates apply to 20-year-olds.

Is the August 14 game vs. KC confirmed for WSIFest?

My wife and I plan to fly to Chicago on Saturday, August 12. We'd like to join in the festivities.

Can I order tickets immediately?

Thank you!

Thanks, Hal, for putting this together. I'm just glad it will work out with when I'll be in Chicago. Mrs. Frater and I look forward to meeting fellow WSI-ers on "home turf." We just got roundtrip airfare from DFW to Midway for $144 each.

I think it will be, iirc. My problem is where I'm going to host it from. I'm going to employ my family computer geek on that task, so I won't have to worry about it in the future.

Yeah, same seats, iirc. He's going to hold 200 for us. The computer geek may get 20-25 of them for the people where he works as payment. We also may be publicizing it on the home page since this is a WSI-only event.

I had a choice of those seats on Monday, or Sec. 109 on Tuesday, but it would have cost $15-16 more for seats that imho are only marginally better.

That, and we get to heckle the bullpen the entire game. I was heckling the Oakland back-up catcher in a friendly manner for good portions of COTC II, even receiving several smiles from him in the process...he liked it!

The original seats (COTC II) are better - not only due to the lower cost but also due to the fact that Section 109 is in the corner and you are facing the OF whereas the OF seats (105) face the infield.

Hal comes through again. :supernana: :gulp:

I just noticed something that may result in a brief (I hope) delay in getting the link up to the flyer. There were parking passes available for both COTC parties, but there isn't one for this party, so I've emailed Kurt to find out if there are any available and if so, what people wanting them need to do to request them since there is no place on the flyer.

I'll put up the link as soon as that question is resolved.
