Overall DOMINANT performance by our pitching staff to limit Cleveland to 2 measly hits.

The offense didn't do too bad either pounding out 11 runs on 14 hits.

Sweeet! What a difference a few days make! For a while there I was lower than a subway train in Australia. Great win; with the offense, defense and pitching all clicking. Not to mention we gained a game in the standings. I luv it when the Sox win day games. I'm going to be smiling for the rest of the day.

However, tomorrow is a different story. If Burls doesn't bring his"A" game, we're going to be in big trouble. Here's hoping he does and that CC bring his "C" game tomorrow.

I am sure that's what Steinbrenner and Torre intended. Can you imagine the pre-game talk? :redneck

I haven't seen this mentioned yet, so if it has please forgive, my eyes ain't what they used to be. I remember hawk and DJ making excuses for the Toons fans, saying it was a majority of punk kids in the stands booing Big Jim, the the real Indians fans have a lot of class, would never boo like that. Okay, so where were they today? What a bunch of schmucks. Just makes me prouder to be a Sox fan, and even prouder of all you guys that gave Hurt a standing "O".

I see the dark clouds have been kept at bay for a second day in a row (both outside and on the diamond).

Talk of the demise of the White Sox (or ascension of the Tiggers) remains premature.

I guess the 1927 Yankees can breath a sigh of relief now that the juggernaut Tigers have been tamed yet again.

Hopefully the Tigers will never again finish over .500.

11-0 Smackdown of the Tribe, I love it! Javy looked mighty sharp today, and he even had to labor a bit more than he should've had to in the 5th inning.

With 2 out Vasquez froze Lou Merloni on a pretty 2-2 curveball on a pitch that should've ended the 5th inning right there. Instead Home Plate Umpire Ed Rapuano blew it, and called it a ball. Merloni ended up walking and Grady Sizemore ended up lining out to Dye in RF on a 6 pitch AB.

The only play I didn't like today was Joey Cora sending Paul Konerko home in the 1st, on a hard hit ball by Crede to LF. Kong was gonna be out by 20 feet. C'mon Joey ***!!!

Here's a rule of thumb for ya. If it's Konerko or A.J. running, probably a good idea if you don't send them if you think it's going to be a close play. There IS a difference between being agressive and being smart.

Even though it worked out for the Sox on this occasion, IT WAS STILL A DUMB FREAKING PLAY on Cora's part. (He's keeping Waving Wendell's memory alive with decisions like that!)

Tomorrow's pitching match up promises to be a good one. Sabathia vs Buehrle. Set the VCR's and TiVO's for this one.

Great all around game for the Sox. Bats showed up, couple of nice defensive plays, great pitching. That adds up to a White Sox blowout of the Tribe. We've put ourselves in good shape to take 3 of 4 at the Jake.

An overlooked part of the game was Juan Uribe's 10-pitch at-bat where he homered. I was very impressed with how Juan just kept on fouling off pitches that he usually would swing and miss at. He finally got a good one to hit and he drove it for a 2-run blast. Hopefully it's the start of good things to come for Juanie.

I am a huge Rowand fan, and I think that BA is a better player than Aaron, but he looks overmatched at the plate. His D is at the top of the list, not fancy, just solid with great reads off the bat. I really hope he picks it up at the plate, as we all know he can hit.

I was hoping the big lead would make him relax a bit and get a few hits. That is the only negative i saw from the game today. And Nelson looked fired up getting the K to end the game. Go Sox!!!

Great day when the Sox score 11, Vazquez pitches a 2-hitter, and all we have to complain about is Joey Cora sending a slow-runner around the bases.

Add to that a Tiger loss.

We are looking good.

On a side note, Nelson needs to get that damn ball down. If he keeps throwing letters and higher, he'll get killed against hitters who are trying.

I stand corrected. You're right. A.J. will not be denied at home plate. Change my original statement to Do NOT send Konerko and Thome home on close plays.

Besides, I really enjoy watching P.K. and Thome taking a nice leisurely jog around the bases when they hit one out. Something we got to see a lot of this weekend. :D:

I think that's why the Cardinals let him go in spring training. He looks pretty shaky out there.

I believe Thome should have bunted when he stepped to the plate in the first inning. I mean, Lee is a tough left-hander, and the Indians had the shift on. I think it would be a good idea for Jimmy to bunt more often, just to get them to take the shift off.

It's nice to kick the **** out of the Indians, my least favorite team in baseball. Let's get to fat-ass Sabathia tomorrow. We're overdue to beat him.

I like it how the cleveland fans booed thome, then he hit 2 homers. For whose of you who have mlb.tv go to his first homer, when the count is 0-2, someone dumb cleveland fan yells strike 3!!!Then he belts a homer. Then the guy has the nerve to boo while he runs the bases. These Cleveland fans are horrible. This is my 3rd game in Cleveland and i get crap evertime that i go. Today some drunk guy came up and said "White Sox Still Suck!".I'm like 135 pounds and he was prolly 300. What was a going to do? I just said "11-0, wow they suck". I'm just glad Chicago fans are a little more respectful.

Even Ben Broussard in the AP write-up said the booing should stop: "It's understandable to boo a guy who has gone elsewhere, but they need to change it up because he's hitting everything the way it is," Broussard said. "Maybe it's motivating him."

You think?

Sox have stepped it up since the public tongue-lashing by Guillen the other day. Good managers have to rattle the cage every now and then, but not too often. Ozzie seems to use the tactic to its best and get his players fired up without brooding.

Cleveland needs to gain at least a split in this series and they know it. It gets tougher for them after today's blowout. Should be a great game tomorrow; Buehrle and Sabathia.

I think the Get Up Guy was there today because I heard the "Let's go Whiiiiite Soooooox" being yelled, and I think it was him that WGN showed during the game wearing a Sox hat and player tee. Could it have been him yelling the Hawk homerun call?
