They're still going to lose. It's what they do.

Not really. The Sox are 4.5 games clear of the Yankees for the Wild Card right now and the Tigers are 7 clear. I'd love the Tigers to get the Wild Card.

My point is that I would rather the Royals win this game than the Yankees. I guess you disagree.

If we're going to obsess over the Tigers, why not the wild card too?

Speaking of which, before people around here gnash their teeth too much about the Tigers beating Cleveland, who's to say we won't be battling the Tribe in September for 1st - and thus be thankful for Detroit beating them now? It happened last year - the Toons were way of the radar screen at this point last year and came roaring back.

It just doesn't pay to get too worried about other teams yet. Like someone on this site said earlier, if the Sox keep winning at a .667 percentage, they'll be in the playoffs - simple as that. So, the only team I'm going to worry about wanting to lose tomorrow is Toronto. And if Toronto loses tomorrow, the Sox will be back at .667.

KC holds off New York, 7-6, after a long delay. Tried to give it away, but Sisco holds them off.

My God the Royals actually won a friggin' game against someone other then the White Sox!

Well... seeing the Yanks lose doesn't make the night a total loss.

Since the Royals beat one of the two "benchmark teams" in baseball does this mean they are really good? :?:

In the coming months HomeFish will really be condeming the Sox because they will probably lose a game to the Yankees who lost a game to the Royals. I dread that day:tongue:

isn't kind of funny that an ex-cub got the loss tonight?
